Many tractors help people cross flood waters

On National Highway 1, the section passing through Huu Lung District (old), Lang Son Province, there are still many deeply flooded areas, causing difficulties for people to travel. Many tractor-trailer drivers have proactively transported people's vehicles through the flooded areas.

Recorded on the morning of October 9, National Highway 1A, the main traffic route through Lang Son province, is still deeply flooded in many places, making the movement of vehicles very difficult.

Notably, many tractor drivers were ready to help people get through flooded areas. The image of tractors carrying more than a dozen motorbikes of the people through deep water areas attracted the attention of many people.

Driver Duong Van Thinh driving a tractor trailer on the Hanoi - Huu Nghi International Border Gate route shared: "This morning when passing through National Highway 1A, I saw a lot of people on motorbikes waiting because they could not get through the flooded area, so I immediately suggested that everyone put their motorbikes on the trailer and carry them through the deep water."

Many people said that Mr. Thinh volunteered to carry his motorbike through three consecutive flooded areas with a total length of more than 11km.

At the Dong Tan intersection, the water level on National Highway 1A is still about 1 meter high. Or at Km81 on National Highway 1A, the section passing through Ngoc Thanh village, Huu Lung commune, was also deeply and widely flooded, many vehicles had to stop or turn around.

Many local people also volunteered to help passersby, guiding them along village roads, avoiding dangerous deep water sections.

According to the leader of Tung Dien Traffic Police Station, Traffic Police Department of Lang Son Province Police, there are currently three deep flooded spots on National Highway 1, at Km82, Km84 and Km93 respectively. Cars can now temporarily move through the Bac Giang - Lang Son Expressway. For motorbikes, people can walk through the flooded spots or go around to the inner-city roads of Met town (old).

It is known that the Traffic Police Department, Lang Son Provincial Police has mobilized 100% of its staff on duty, divided into many patrol teams to control key routes and areas.

Working groups were present at landslide and flooding hotspots to place warning signs, cordon off areas, guide traffic to alternative routes, and resolutely prevent people from entering dangerous areas.
