Demand for tourism in Hanoi on National Day September 2 increased 44 times

NDO - Hanoi is becoming the focus of domestic tourism with the number of searches for accommodation in the capital on the occasion of National Day September 2 this year increasing by an astonishing 4,418% (more than 44 times) compared to the same period last year.

This year, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), people across the country are eagerly looking for accommodation in Hanoi very early to participate in the parade, march and special commemorative activities.

Currently, the capital Hanoi is becoming the focus of domestic tourism with the number of searches for accommodation here on the occasion of National Day September 2 increasing by an astonishing +4,418% compared to the same period last year.

The data was collected by online travel platform Agoda from accommodation searches conducted between April 1 and May 20 for check-in dates between August 30 and September 3, compared to the same period in 2024.

According to Agoda, the top 5 most searched domestic destinations are: Hanoi, Nha Trang, Da Nang , Da Lat and Vung Tau.

Compared to the 2024 holiday season, this year Vietnamese people have significantly more holiday plans, with total travel searches increasing by +104%, domestic travel increasing by +135%, and international travel increasing by +72%.

For the outbound market, the most searched cities from Vietnam include Bangkok (Thailand), Singapore, Seoul (Korea), Bali (Indonesia) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
