Among the 2,455 citizens performing military service in 2025 in the province, there are 5 "beautiful women" with college and university degrees who volunteered to join the army. They have in common a sense of responsibility and dedication, ready to contribute to building a strong army and homeland.

Continuing the family tradition

In the early days of spring, when visiting Mr. Cao Ky Tam's family (in Ghenh Rang ward, Quy Nhon city), everyone felt the warm joy spreading throughout the small house. This year's Tet, his family received great joy when his daughter Cao Nguyen Khanh Linh (24 years old) prepared to join the army, continuing the family tradition.

Having just graduated from the English Language Department (Ton Duc Thang University), Linh volunteered to join the army in 2025 with the desire to continue her family's tradition and participate in building the army. Sharing about her decision, Linh said that during her university years, she had participated in a national defense and securityeducation course. From a girl accustomed to an independent lifestyle, Linh had to adapt to a collective training environment, adhere to discipline, and be punctual.

“Although I only lived in the military environment for 2 weeks, I feel more mature. In particular, the impression of the majesty of the military uniform that my father wore always urged me to one day stand in the army,” Linh said. Regarding the family, Mr. Tam also expressed that the family not only encouraged but also prepared for a long time for his daughter to continue the family tradition.

Like her female peers, Phan Thanh Binh (23 years old, in Bui Thi Xuan ward, Quy Nhon city) also showed excitement and eagerness before the day of enlistment. As the only daughter in the family, Binh had the opportunity to join her father's unit since she was young. Living and experiencing, understanding a part of the military environment, the love for the green uniform was nurtured and grew in the little girl's heart. Therefore, as soon as she graduated from the English Language major at Quy Nhon University, Binh immediately asked her family's permission to volunteer for military service.

“My family is the motivation for me to volunteer for the army. Every time I prepare my father's uniform, I always want to put the shoulder straps and military rank on him, that always makes me proud,” Binh confided.

Before leaving her family to join the unit, female recruit Nguyen Tran Thu Uyen (26 years old, living in Tran Phu ward, Quy Nhon city, graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law) was both emotional and proud to be wearing the soldier's uniform, not only following the example but also becoming "comrades and teammates with my father". Uyen shared her plan: "I want to stay long-term, contribute my strength to the Fatherland and will try to train to become more mature, using my professional knowledge to serve in the army".

Ready to face the challenge

Graduated from the Pharmacy major at Binh Dinh Medical College, although there were many job opportunities right after graduation, Bana ethnic girl Dinh Thi Be Quyen (22 years old, in Bok Toi commune, Hoai An district) volunteered to join the army.

During the recent Tet holiday, Quyen spent time with her family and said goodbye to her friends. She said that her relatives and friends were very supportive but also a bit worried because they feared that Quyen would be exhausted, but everyone encouraged her. “I think whether male or female, if we have enough determination and effort, we can all achieve success on the path we have chosen. If others can do it, I can do it too,” Quyen laughed.

The girl brought with her to join the army with many instructions from her parents. Her father often told Quyen that the military environment would have its difficulties, but the camaraderie and solidarity always helped everyone mature and the soldiers were trained to live more responsibly. "I kept in mind and carried my father's teachings, considering them valuable luggage for the future. I was a bit nervous and excited when starting a new journey," Quyen confided.

Phu Cat district also has a "beauty" who graduated from the university of Finance and Banking (Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry) and volunteered to join the army this time. That is the new female soldier Nguyen Thi My Duyen (25 years old, from Cat Hanh commune). Very eager for the day of leaving for the army, Duyen has made many preparations early. For example, she memorized the 10 oaths and 12 military disciplines, and trained her body to have good health. Duyen whispered: "Each person will have a strength, like me, in cultural and artistic activities. Hopefully, when I join the army, I will have the opportunity to develop and later become a professional female soldier."

The closer the day his daughter leaves for the army, the harder it is for Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi to describe his feelings. Duyen's volunteering to join the army is supported by everyone and everyone hopes that Duyen will have the opportunity to stay and serve long-term in the military environment. "Everyone in the family has given advice so that when Duyen joins the army, she will not be surprised. The family hopes that Duyen will be strong in the face of challenges and will excellently complete all assigned tasks," Mr. Khoi shared.
