This information was recently provided by the Korea Tourism Organization in Vietnam (KTO Vietnam) at the event "Korea Travel Mart 2025", within the framework of the Korea Travel Festa 2025. Accordingly, more than 20 representatives from local tourism promotion agencies, leading Korean travel companies, and more than 100 units from Vietnam, including tourism businesses, airlines, press agencies and tourism associations participated in "Korea Travel Mart 2025", promising to open up many strategic cooperation opportunities for the tourism industry of the two countries.

2024 marks an important milestone when for the first time, the number of two-way tourists between Vietnam and Korea exceeds 5 million - a major step forward in bilateral cooperation. Of which, the number of Vietnamese visitors to Korea reached more than 511 thousand and the number of Korean visitors to Vietnam reached more than 4.6 million. In the first 4 months of 2025, Korea welcomed 183,000 Vietnamese visitors, an increase of 12.4% over the same period in 2024.
In particular, the number of MICE (incentive tourism) tourists from Vietnam to Korea supported by KTO in 2024 will reach nearly 54,000, an increase of 32.2% compared to 2023, bringing Vietnam to 2nd place in Southeast Asia in terms of the number of MICE tourists to Korea, after the Philippines.
Not only has the number of MICE delegations increased, the scale of the delegations is also very impressive. Of the nearly 500 incentive travel delegations supported by KTO in 2024, there have been more than 20 delegations from large enterprises in Vietnam, each with over 500 guests. This has demonstrated the trust and high satisfaction from Vietnamese enterprises, while affirming the sustainable attraction of Korea as an ideal destination for the international MICE market.

Currently, KTO is continuing to promote diverse promotional activities, notably organizing the Korea Travel Festa 2025 - the largest B2C event of the year, taking place in Ho Chi Minh City on June 21-22, expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors. In addition, KTO will also participate in the Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Fair (ITE 2025) from September 4-6 with many attractive activities, aiming to deeply connect with the Vietnamese tourism market.
“With attractive support policies and the continuous updating of new tourism products that suit the needs and trends of Vietnamese tourists, we expect to continue to strongly promote bilateral tourism exchanges in the coming time,” emphasized Ms. Park Eun Jung, Chief Representative of KTO Vietnam.
