Oath taking at the Party admission ceremony before leaving for military service |
“Hot” 3 days before the military enlistment ceremony, on February 23, Vinh Luong Khe village Party Cell, under Phu Luong Commune Party Committee and Su Lo village Party Cell, under Phu Ho Commune Party Committee held a ceremony to admit new party members for Doan Dinh Duy (born in 2002) and Le Quang Truong (born in 2005). Phu Vang District Party Secretary Tran Gia Cong presented the admission decision and encouraged the young party members who are preparing to join the army to always strive and train hard to become soldiers and party members, continuing to promote the spirit of vanguard and steadfastness on all fronts. Previously, party cells in 14 communes and towns also held a ceremony to admit new party members for a total of 18 outstanding people, who were recruited for military service and will join the army in 2024.
Mr. Duong Duc Thanh, Deputy Secretary of Phu Vang District Youth Union, said that these are exemplary young people who have promoted the vanguard role of youth, voluntarily written applications to join the army and have always been active in participating in local activities. They have been cared for, followed, helped and introduced to the Party for consideration of admission by mass, political and social organizations in the villages.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Dao Ngoc Thanh, Political Commissar of the Phu Vang District Military Command, the attention to selecting, training and admitting Party members and young people before joining the army contributes to arousing pride, patriotism, and determination for new recruits to perform well their duties in the army; improving the quality of selection, calling citizens, and building the armed forces in general and in the district, increasingly stronger.
Phu Vang is one of the leading units in the province in doing a good job of admitting outstanding young people to the Party before they leave for military service. This shows the deep concern of the local Party Committee and government, and is also a driving force for local youth. Once they become Party members, their awareness and responsibility are higher, thereby fulfilling their duties better in the process of fulfilling their obligations to the Fatherland.
“After returning to their locality after being discharged from the army, as official party members, they will have the opportunity to participate in the local political system at the village level; to become village team leaders. In addition, they can continue to study and develop to become leaders of local governments at the village and commune levels. This is a very important step, creating a source of grassroots cadres for the locality,” said Lieutenant Colonel Dao Ngoc Thanh.
In fact, in 14 communes and towns, a high proportion of commune-level cadres (Commune Party Committee Secretaries, Commune People's Committee Chairmen) who have matured from military service have completed their military service. Typical examples are Phu Luong, Vinh Ha, Phu Xuan, and Phu An communes. With their will, political mettle, and all aspects that have been firmly trained in the army, they have now, in their positions as leaders, made significant contributions to the socio -economic development and national defense and security of the locality.
At the meeting and exchange with Phu Vang youth who will join the army in 2024, organized by Phu Vang District Youth Union in coordination with the District Military Command, Mr. Tran Thanh Long, Chairman of Phu Vang District People's Committee and Mr. Tran Gia Cong, Secretary of the District Party Committee, commended and rewarded 8 young men who completed their military service in 2022-2023 (during their service, they achieved the title of emulation soldier and were admitted to the Party), and have just left the army. At the same time, gifts were presented and more than 180 outstanding young men were preparing to join the army. Mr. Le Van Tu, an outstanding young man who was honored to be admitted to the Party before joining the army, on behalf of the new recruits, promised to follow in the footsteps of previous generations of his hometown Phu Vang, to constantly study, practice, cultivate, strictly abide by military discipline, take the lead in all areas of work, and be worthy of being a soldier and a Party member.
