Can Tho City students achieved 272 points of 10 in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam

GD&TĐ - On the morning of July 18, the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City held a meeting to consider recognizing high school graduation in 2025.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, the 2025 High School Graduation Exam continues to record positive results for the Education and Training sector of Can Tho City.

Accordingly, the total number of candidates taking the graduation exam was 31,083; the number of candidates passing the graduation exam was 30,868. The city-wide graduation rate reached 99.31%. This is a high graduation rate, reflecting the great efforts of the management staff, teachers, students and the attention and support from Party committees at all levels, local authorities and parents.

In particular, the whole city has 73 schools and centers with a 100% graduation rate, including: 66 public and non-public high schools; 7 Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers.

In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Can Tho City achieved outstanding results with 272 exams scoring 10 points. Specifically, the number of 10 points for each subject is as follows: Math 4 points 10; Physics 55 points 10; Chemistry 6 points 10; Biology 2 points 10; History 25 points 10; Geography 127 points 10; Economic and Legal Education 35 points 10; Information Technology 7 points 10; Technology - Industry 1 point 10; Technology - Agriculture 5 points 10; English 3 points 10; Chinese 2 points 10.

According to the score distribution and ranking nationwide as announced by the Ministry of Education and Training , Literature is the bright spot of Can Tho City. With an average score of 7.259, Can Tho ranked 5th out of 34 provinces and cities with the highest Literature exam scores nationwide. The city is also in the top 10 provinces and cities with the most 10 points, in the following subjects: Information Technology: Ranked 2nd nationwide, with 7 candidates achieving absolute scores. Technology - Agriculture: Ranked 6th, with 5 candidates achieving 10 points. Biology: Ranked 10th, with 2 candidates achieving 10 points.

According to the assessment of the leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, the high school graduation rate of 99.31% clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of the direction and administration of the exam as well as the increasingly improved quality of teaching and learning in the city.

In particular, 73 units achieved a rate of 100%, demonstrating the seriousness and methodicalness in reviewing, psychological counseling, and knowledge preparation for 12th grade students; Comprehensive and even development between public and non-public schools and Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers; Professional capacity, dedication, and sense of responsibility of teachers and education managers.

The above results also show that Can Tho City has made a breakthrough in the quality of comprehensive education, in which the outstanding subjects are the Social Science combination (History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education), Physics and Informatics.

The diversity of subjects with perfect scores also reflects the effective implementation of the 2018 General Education Program, gradually developing students' comprehensive capacity and qualities according to the educational innovation orientation of the Ministry of Education and Training.
