Application of science and technology in production
Cooperatives are collective economic organizations that the Party and the State care about, support, and create favorable conditions for development. In addition to the advantages, many cooperatives have low starting points, lacking in material, infrastructure, and operating capital.
Realizing these common difficulties, Cay Trom Agricultural Trade Service Cooperative (Hung Dien A commune, Vinh Hung district) proposed the direction and development plan to promote production mechanization, apply science and technology in cultivation. The closed rice production process from services, input and output linkage of the cooperative was formed from there.
Currently, 90% of the production land of Cay Trom Agricultural Trade Service Cooperative (Hung Dien A commune, Vinh Hung district) is mechanized, meeting large-scale seasonal production.
Director of Cay Trom Agricultural Trade Service Cooperative - Bui Van Tuan informed: From a small, scattered, backward production area, the members unanimously built an electric pumping station, machinery, equipment, researched composting organic fertilizer from water hyacinth to improve the soil,... right from the beginning.
Up to now, the Cooperative has built a complete production process, modern, mechanized and especially a safe, 100% closed production process for members, aiming at high quality rice products. From there, it helps members reduce investment costs and increase profits.
Currently, 90% of the cooperative's production land is mechanized, meeting the needs of large-scale seasonal production. In recent years, the cooperative has focused on safe rice production, with 90% of the current rice output meeting the quality standards for the European market. "Each member participating in the cooperative is guaranteed input and output, without worrying about the situation of "good harvest, low price" and vice versa. The rice yield in the cooperative is equal to the yield outside.
The cooperative's policy will reduce 5% of fertilizer and pesticide costs for members. In addition, members will also receive a 5% discount on pumping, watering, cutting, pulling, etc. services compared to market prices. Rice prices will be added 200-300 VND/kg" - Mr. Bui Van Tuan said.
Thanks to promoting the spirit of solidarity and having creative ways of doing things, cooperatives are increasingly affirming their brands in the market. The positive changes of cooperatives have significantly contributed to promoting local socio-economic development and increasing income for members./.
