This meaningful work not only demonstrates concern in implementing military and military support policies but also reflects the deep sense of shared affection among soldiers. For many years, the Provincial Military Command, together with the 9th Military Region Command, has effectively implemented the program to support "comrade's houses" and "houses of solidarity" for officers and soldiers with difficult housing circumstances. "Comrade's houses" are provided to officers, professional soldiers, and defense workers and officials currently working. "Houses of solidarity" are for retired, demobilized, and discharged officers and soldiers.

In 2025, Military Region 9 will support 17 houses for comrades in the province (60 million VND/house); the Provincial Military Command will support 6 houses for comrades in need (60 million VND/house). To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the armed forces of Military Region 9 (December 10, 1945 - December 10, 2025), Military Region 9 will continue to support 5 solidarity houses and 3 houses for comrades in need for people and soldiers in difficult circumstances in An Giang .
The activities of supporting and handing over houses to comrades demonstrate the affection and responsibility of the 9th Military Region Command and the Provincial Military Command in caring for the lives of officers and soldiers currently serving and military personnel from all periods. This also strengthens the bond of comradeship, contributing to helping officers and soldiers feel secure in their work, stay connected with the people, and strive to successfully complete their tasks.
At the end of November 2025, the Provincial Military Command organized the handover of a new house to Major Dinh Quoc Kiet, an assistant in the Operations and Training Department of the Provincial Military Command's Staff Office, in Dong Tram hamlet, Long Thanh commune. His family's old house, located in a flood-resistant residential area, had been built over 20 years ago and was in a state of disrepair. Major Kiet shared: “I live with my parents, both 70 years old. Every time there was heavy rain and strong winds, I was always worried when I was away on duty. Thanks to the 60 million VND support from Military Region 9, my family contributed more to build a new house costing nearly 300 million VND. My parents were so happy they cried.”
The sturdy house, with an area of over 90 square meters , a corrugated iron roof, and tiled floors, was completed just before the Lunar New Year of the Horse, giving Mr. Kiet more peace of mind during his days on duty far from home. At the handover ceremony, Colonel Cao Minh Tam - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command - kindly encouraged Mr. Kiet and his family to continue striving for a better life. He also urged Mr. Kiet to uphold the qualities of a "Soldier of Uncle Ho" and continue to perform his assigned duties well.
For many years, Kiet has consistently performed his duties well, especially in rescue operations, civil defense, and participation in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic. "The warmth of camaraderie among colleagues further motivates me to strive in my work," Kiet shared.
In December 2025, the Provincial Military Command, in coordination with the Party Committee and the local government of Chau Thanh commune, handed over a house to the family of Major Tran Anh Tuan, Political Assistant of the Staff Department, Provincial Military Command, residing in Binh Loi hamlet, Chau Thanh commune. Despite difficult family circumstances and working far from home, Major Tuan has always strived to excel, being a Party member who has successfully completed his duties for four consecutive years. He effectively advised the leadership of the Staff Department on Party and political work; maintained the quality of Party branch activities; and improved the unit's environment, making it bright, green, clean, and beautiful.
On the day of the house handover, the entire Tuan family was moved to see their spacious and well-built home. “My family has three generations living together. This new, spacious, and sturdy house is a long-held dream, especially for my parents to have a warm and comfortable place to live in their old age. It gives me even more motivation to focus on my work,” Major Tran Anh Tuan expressed.
Colonel Cao Minh Tam affirmed: "Comrade's houses are not only material support but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, giving strength to soldiers to overcome difficulties and resolutely complete all tasks well." These new, spacious, and warm houses are also a symbol of camaraderie and fellowship within the An Giang armed forces.
