Students of Tra Noc 2 Primary School enjoy participating in the model "Exchange recycled waste - receive green gifts".
The Vietnam Youth Union of Tra Noc Ward in coordination with the Women's Union of Tra Noc Ward maintains the model of "Cooking free porridge" to give to people in difficult circumstances, from social mobilization sources. Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loi, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union Committee of Tra Noc Ward, said: "The model of "Cooking free porridge" has been implemented since 2024 until now, maintained once a month, operating on a voluntary basis. When making a cooking plan, the members of the group are assigned to go to the market, prepare meat and cook, divide the food into boxes for distribution". The porridge distribution points are mainly at the People's Committee of Tra Noc Ward and the Medical Station of Tra Noc Ward, each time about 250-500 porridge portions are given away. Although the meals are not of great value, they really warm the hearts of students and people in difficult circumstances, helping them reduce part of their living expenses.
During Youth Month 2025, Tra Noc Ward Youth Union together with Tra Noc 4 Primary School Youth Union renovated the school campus, implementing the model of "School Vegetable Garden". Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Duyen, Deputy Secretary of Tra Noc 4 Primary School Youth Union, said: "The project "School Vegetable Garden" is maintained to help students experience planting and caring for vegetables, through which they also know how to appreciate the products harvested from the vegetable garden".
Tra Noc Ward Youth Union also coordinated with Tra Noc 2 Primary School and related units to launch the model "Exchange recycled waste - receive green gifts". Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loi, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union Committee of Tra Noc Ward, informed: "The model has attracted many students to participate. They have collected 131kg of paper, 137kg of plastic bottles/cans. The model is organized to raise awareness among students to join hands to fight plastic waste and protect the environment".
The youth project "Replacing power lines", implemented by the Tra Noc Ward Youth Union in coordination with the Youth Union of Power Generation Corporation 2, has helped 6 households in difficult circumstances replace their power lines. Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang, in area 2, excitedly said: "Previously, I connected the electricity in my house without an insulation system, the electric wires were hung and tied to the wall of the house, so it was not safe for electricity. In March 2025, the youth union members replaced the entire electrical wiring system and installed safe electricity for my family to use". It is known that the project "Replacing power lines" has been coordinated and maintained by 2 units for the past 6 years. On average, 5 households in difficult circumstances in the ward are supported to replace the electric wires and new light bulbs each year.
According to Ms. Huynh Vo Xuan Huong, Secretary of Tra Noc Ward Youth Union, the ward Youth Union is organizing summer activities for students in the ward. The content is to propagate the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh ; propagate adolescent reproductive health and the harmful effects of electronic cigarettes. In particular, Tra Noc Ward Youth Union also coordinated with the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 4 to organize the experience program "A day as a soldier" for students and union members living in the shelter to participate. In the near future, Tra Noc Ward Youth Union will continue to promote the good implementation of social security work in the locality, launching meaningful projects and tasks to improve the criteria for building a civilized urban ward...
