Speaking at the event, Ms. Tran Thi Diem Huong, Vice President of the Vietnam Yoga Federation, Standing Vice President and General Secretary of the Hanoi Yoga Federation, and Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized: “The Hanoi Yoga Federation always upholds the spirit and enthusiasm for yoga, creating a healthy and beneficial playground to connect yoga clubs and enthusiasts in the capital city.”

With the theme for 2025: “Yoga for Peace and Public Health,” the program conveys a deeply humane message in a world still fraught with instability. Through a series of activities such as the sacred fire ceremony for Yoga, group performances of Yoga rituals, artistic yoga performances, and physical games, the event not only promotes the health benefits of Yoga but also spreads the values of peace and compassion to the community.

Monica Sharma, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Vietnam, shared: “Yoga is a gift that India has given to the world . We are moved to see thousands of Vietnamese people loving and practicing this discipline, especially the formation of a map of Vietnam, demonstrating mutual respect and friendship between the two nations.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bay, 72 years old, from Tien Phuong Yoga Club (Chuong My district, Hanoi) said: “On the first day of practicing yoga, I felt pain, but the more I practiced, the more flexible and healthier my body became, and my joints felt much better. I have been practicing regularly for two years now and feel more energetic and cheerful. Both young and old should participate in this activity.”

According to the organizing committee, following the success of this year's Festival, the 2nd Hanoi City Expanded Yoga Club Championship will be held from July 11-13, 2025, creating another platform for exchange and learning among yoga clubs and practitioners throughout the region.

The most impressive highlight of the event was the formation of a map of Vietnam by nearly 1,000 people wearing red shirts with yellow stars, creating a highly symbolic scene that expressed the spirit of unity, national pride, and the cultural blending between Vietnam and India through yoga, an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
