More than 1,000 women wearing ao dai paraded and formed a map of Vietnam at Hoan Kiem Lake.

On the morning of March 29, at Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union directed the Vietnam Women's Newspaper to organize an event in which more than 1,000 women wearing Ao Dai paraded and formed a map of Vietnam.

President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen (2nd from left), Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Thu Hien (3rd from left), and Crescent Moon Beauty Queen Be Thi Bang (left cover) participated in the parade.

This is also an event in response to the Ao Dai Week launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union nationwide. Initiated in 2019, Ao Dai Week contributes to inspiring and spreading meaningful, positive messages about love, national pride; about the country, people and Vietnamese Ao Dai.

Attending the Ao Dai parade on the morning of March 29 were more than 1,000 women, including leaders and officials of the Vietnam Women's Union, Hanoi Women's Union members, guests, and students of the Vietnam Women's Academy.

"The activity of hundreds of young women in traditional Vietnamese dress and national flags forming a map of Vietnam is not only a symbol of solidarity but also an affirmation of the important role of women's forces in preserving and developing the country," Lan Ngoc (20 years old) shared with VietNamNet reporter.

With this activity, Vietnamese women are increasingly proud of the national ao dai, affirming their role and position in the social community, firmly entering a new era, an era of national growth.
