Routes connecting Binh Thuan with Lam Dong

From Binh Thuan to Lam Dong, there are currently about 5-6 routes, of which the 3 main routes are National Highway 28, National Highway 28B and National Highway 55.

National Highway 28 is directly connected from Phan Thiet City, through Ham Thuan Bac District, through Gia Bac Pass to reach the center of Di Linh District, Lam Dong Province, then to Gia Nghia City, Dak Nong Province. In addition, in Ham Thuan Bac, on National Highway 28, at km 23, you can follow DT 714 to the intersection of La Da Commune to connect with National Highway 55, from here go up to Bao Lam District to Lam Dong. National Highway 28B starts from Luong Son Town, Bac Binh to Lam Dong. Most of the northern districts of the province such as Bac Binh, Tuy Phong, including Phan Thiet or going to Lam Dong, choose National Highway 28B. Up to now, among the routes, National Highway 28B is the priority for people and tourists to travel to Lam Dong. In addition, passenger car companies all choose National Highway 28B to operate because it reduces 15 - 20 km compared to going on National Highway 28.

National Highway 28B is the shortest route connecting Bac Binh - Phan Thiet district with Da Lat city. It is expected that the road will be upgraded and expanded, with a total investment of over 1,400 billion VND. The route is about 68km long, passing through Dai Ninh pass, and is currently a strategic route connecting Phan Thiet city with Da Lat city. It is expected that the project to upgrade National Highway 28B will be completed in early 2026, contributing to the completion of the important route connecting the administrative - political center of Lam Dong province. Recently, the Central Government has directed that the route must be opened to traffic before September 2025 to meet the travel needs of people when merging the 3 provinces of Lam Dong, Dak Nong and Binh Thuan ...

Besides the two national highways 28 and 28B located in the north of the province, in the south of the province there is national highway 55. The southern districts of the province such as Duc Linh, Tanh Linh, Ham Tan, Ham Thuan Nam, La Gi town, when traveling to Lam Dong, usually take national highway 55 connecting to national highway 20 to reach Lam Dong. Going on national highway 55, you have to go through Da Mi pass to reach Bao Lam district, then enter the center of Bao Loc city, Lam Dong. In the opposite direction, for people in Bao Loc city, Bao Lam district who want to go to La Gi, Ke Ga, Phan Thiet to swim, they usually take national highway 55.

In Tanh Linh, Duc Linh, people can follow provincial road DT.717 (from Dong Kho commune to Duc Phu commune), through Ba Sa intersection, over Ta Pua pass (Duc Phu commune) to Doan Ket commune (Da Huoai district), then to Lam Dong. There is another route, people can follow Me Pu, Da Kai route to national highway 20 in Dinh Quan district (Dong Nai) and then to Bao Loc city. Conversely, people in Dinh Quan, Bao Loc city also follow this route to provincial road DT. 717 through Dong Kho commune - the intersection with national highway 55, then follow national highway 55 to La Gi town area, Ke Ga cape or follow the highway to Phan Thiet and to the northern districts of the province.
