Model Trang La's passion for extreme sports

At the famous Ironman 70.3 swimming - cycling - running triathlon (recently held in Phu Quoc, attracting 1,500 domestic and international athletes), Trang La boldly registered for a series of triathlon events including a 1.9km swim, a 90km bike ride and a 21km run. This is a category in the competition for professional athletes that requires high health and endurance. This is also a very difficult challenge for male athletes and even more difficult for female athletes. It is even more challenging because Trang La is not a professional athlete, she came to this sport because of her passion and health benefits after taking care of her small family and work.

Trang La conquers the 90km cycling challenge

With the support of her family, Trang La was determined to challenge herself with this harsh sport, she attracted attention in her professional player's uniform. With determination, effort, not giving up as well as the spiritual encouragement from her husband and daughter who always followed closely to cheer her on during the competition journey, Trang La successfully conquered the most difficult challenges and completed her test.

“Because of my love for sports , Trang decided to choose running and triathlon. Running helps me stay healthy, maintain endurance and patience. The combination of three sports helps Trang train her health in the most comprehensive way possible. Each sport has its own benefits, so Trang thinks she needs to improve more,” Trang La shared about her passion.

21km running race

Trang La said that she regularly participates in sports training with her husband. As a nutritionist who cares about the health of the whole family, Dr. Tran Tien Chanh always supports and often acts as a trainer as well as a workout partner with his wife. The couple always puts quality of life and health first. In particular, Trang La's husband is very supportive of her pursuing her passion for sports.

Trang La said she is lucky to have a happy family. Her husband is experienced and understanding, loves charity and sports activities, so he always supports all her decisions. Thanks to her husband's wholehearted support, Trang La was able to confidently complete the challenges in this sports tournament.

The model born in 1991 completed the challenge of swimming 1.9km, cycling 90km and running 21km.

The 32-year-old model said: “Trang does everything because of her passion and with her husband’s support, every moment of exercising brings Trang joy and happiness. Sports not only help Trang improve her health but also bring a spirit of love for life.”

In 2015 and 2016, Trang La was one of the potential models of the Vietnamese fashion industry, sought after by many designers. She suddenly announced her wedding in 2016 to her Vietnamese-French husband. After that, Trang La stopped her showbiz activities to focus on taking care of her family and continuing her master's degree. When her daughter was 3 years old, Trang La returned to work. She took on the role of managing her husband's charity fund in Vietnam, which has been operating for more than 30 years. Every year, she and her husband and team go directly to remote areas to give gifts, visit people, and support the less fortunate.

Encouragement from her husband is the motivation for Trang La to pursue her passion for sports.

During this time, she also tried her hand at sports, specifically Triathlon. Trang La wants to prove that not only male athletes but also women can pursue and conquer this harsh sport. Through her story, Trang La also wants to send a message to young people, especially women with families like her, about the benefits that sports bring: “Trang wants to tell women to spend time on sports as soon as they have the conditions and time. Sports bring many beautiful things, helping Trang improve her health and spirit inside. Thanks to that, Trang has good physical strength and a strong spirit to always be ready to 'fight' at work”.
