That pride was further multiplied when the moment of wearing the bright red scarf of the national flag took place solemnly at the special national relic site of Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam, a symbol of Vietnam's tradition of studiousness.
“Standing before the national flag, the team flag, and the portrait of beloved Uncle Ho , we promise: To carry out the five teachings of Uncle Ho well/To follow the regulations of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team/To preserve the honor of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team/I promise!”, Khanh Ly had just finished speaking when immediately a series of “I promise, I promise, I promise!” chants echoed throughout the Thai Hoc courtyard.
A joyful and excited atmosphere filled the faces of more than 1,000 students of Yen Nghia Primary School, Ha Dong, Hanoi . This was the first time they had attended the Team admission ceremony at such a special location. The honor was mixed with excitement, especially for the new team members who were a bit bewildered with the red scarf on their shoulders. From now on, they have become members of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team.
The ceremony marked the maturity of the children in all aspects. The teachers gave the new team members bright red scarves and did not forget to remind them to be good and well-behaved, to be worthy of the bright red scarves on their shoulders, to be worthy of being good children, good students - good grandchildren of Uncle Ho. The bright red scarves and the sparkling eyes of joy will certainly be beautiful memories throughout their school years.
Carefully adjusting the knot on the red scarf, Duong Quynh Anh, a student of class 3A5, shared: "I have been learning how to tie a scarf for a few days now, but I am still excitedly waiting for the moment when I can tie the red scarf. I feel very happy and proud to be admitted here". While his friends were still fumbling with the new scarf, Nguyen Dinh Trong, a student of class 5A6, quickly helped them tie it. Dinh Trong said: "To be admitted to the Team, students need to actively participate in speaking, study well, practice the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho, and know how to help friends".
Coming to the Team Admission Ceremony at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, students of Yen Nghia Primary School also listened to explanations, visited and answered historical knowledge quizzes about the relic. Teacher Tran Thi Quyen, Principal of Yen Nghia Primary School said: "The school organized a new Team Member Admission Ceremony for 390 children in grades 3, 4, and 5. The children admitted to the Team this time are all good children, have good academic achievements and actively participate in the school's movements and activities, through the process of training as reserve team members, monitored and recognized by the Team Union. The school had talks to help the children understand the meaning of wearing a bright red scarf on their shoulders, a part of the national flag, symbolizing the revolutionary ideal. Wearing a red scarf is a pride in the Fatherland, in the Communist Party of Vietnam, in Uncle Ho, in the heroic Vietnamese people so that the children vow to strive to become members of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team".
Offering incense with students at the place considered the cradle of the country's education, experiencing and learning about culture and history, helps them to be more proud and strive to study to build their homeland and country. This is also an activity that meets the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program, enhancing practical learning activities and experiences for students.
