Ninh Thuan: Nearly 3.8 hectares of land recovered due to violations of land laws

On June 10, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province announced that Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang had just signed a notice on land reclamation for the Ba Be Lake Resort project of Son Hai Joint Stock Company.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province will reclaim an area of nearly 3.8 hectares of land (in Phuoc Dinh commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province) leased to Son Hai Joint Stock Company in 2011. Son Hai Joint Stock Company will not be compensated for assets attached to the land and remaining land investment costs according to the provisions of the 2024 Land Law.

The reason for land reclamation is that Son Hai Joint Stock Company violated land laws, which is subject to land reclamation according to regulations.

The Tanyoli Mongolian Village tourism project was built without permission in an area outside the location leased by the state.

Within 45 days from the date of receipt of the notice, Son Hai Joint Stock Company, the owner of the property attached to the land and those with related rights and obligations shall be responsible for handling the property on the recovered land. Within 15 days from the date of expiry of the above-mentioned property handling deadline, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province shall issue a decision to recover the land and direct the implementation of the land recovery decision. In case of non-compliance, enforcement will be enforced.

As reported by SGGP Newspaper, in 2009, Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee granted an investment certificate to Son Hai Joint Stock Company to implement the Ba Be Lake Resort project, with a total area of 20 hectares.

The project named Tanyoli Mongolian Village is not licensed by Son Hai Joint Stock Company.

In 2011, after being leased nearly 3.8 hectares/20 hectares of land by the State, Son Hai Joint Stock Company did not yet prepare a detailed construction planning for the entire project and did not implement the project.

After that, the company arbitrarily invested in building a project called Tanyoli Mongolian Village on another land without completing procedures according to land and construction regulations.
