The name Tekton is derived from Greek, meaning “craftsman” or “architect”, implying a development orientation focused on sophisticated design and precision engineering. The design of Tekton is inspired by the large SUV Nissan Patrol. The exterior of the car stands out with a muscular front end, embossed hood, distinctive C-shaped LED headlights and a sporty front bumper.

The body of the car has embossed lines combined with the "Double-C" design details on the front doors, inspired by the image of mountains, creating a strong and modern style. The rear of the car is equipped with LED lights stretching across the entire width, connecting the two C-shaped taillight clusters with the Nissan logo in the middle. The word "Tekton" is placed prominently on the trunk door, contributing to increasing recognition. The car is expected to have many paint color options, including single-tone and two-tone contrasting versions.

Although details of the interior have not been released, Nissan says the Tekton will be equipped with high-end features. Expected equipment includes a large central entertainment screen, a fully digital dashboard, a multi-zone automatic climate control system, a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable seats with integrated heating and ventilation, and many modern driving assistance technologies of the ADAS system.

In terms of engines, the Tekton can be offered with both petrol and hybrid options. Initially in India, the car may use two turbocharged petrol engine variants, with manual or automatic transmission. The hybrid version is expected to appear in the next launches. Some high-end versions may be equipped with a full-time four-wheel drive system, aiming at flexible operation in many terrain conditions.

In addition to the standard 5-seat version, Nissan is also developing a 7-seat SUV variant based on the Tekton platform, expected to launch in 2027 to expand its product portfolio in the Indian market, where the company currently has only the Magnite compact SUV. In addition, a low-cost MPV model developed on the CMF-A platform is also in the process of completion.
