Staff of Ta Phoi Commune Health Station proactively moved to the vaccination point on time.
The heavy rain that lasted from the night before until the morning made the 15km journey of the vaccination team from Ta Phoi Commune Health Station to the vaccination site in Xeo Ta 2 village seem longer. However, with careful preparation in advance, the team still arrived at the vaccination site on time and on schedule to vaccinate the children. "In addition to the fixed vaccination sites at the station, we regularly coordinate with remote villages and hamlets to vaccinate children who cannot go to the vaccination station, to ensure that children are fully vaccinated and do not miss any shots," said Dr. Duong Van Thuc, Ta Phoi Commune Health Station, Lao Cai city.
In response to the efforts of the doctors and nurses, despite the heavy rain, families still took the initiative to bring their children to get vaccinated according to schedule. Xeo Ta 2 is a particularly difficult village in Ta Phoi commune, with over 90% of the population being ethnic minorities, but all children under 12 months old are vaccinated with all 8 types of vaccines in the national expanded immunization program. "Today I took my child for vaccination, the house is far away and I don't know how to ride a motorbike, the doctor came here to vaccinate so I took my child", said Ms. Chao Mui Lieu, Xeo Ta 2 village, Ta Phoi commune, Lao Cai city.
The health sector is continuing to make efforts to promote and mobilize parents to fully vaccinate their children.
In addition to 152 fixed vaccination points at health stations, the province also has 732 off-site vaccination points, which are often organized in villages, schools, cultural houses... far from health stations. Thanks to that, many children in difficult areas have the opportunity to access and be fully vaccinated against diseases in the expanded immunization program such as polio, whooping cough, tetanus... "All people in remote areas, remote areas, and areas in the province actively respond to vaccination activities. In addition, the health sector is also making efforts to ensure vaccine supply in the current context when vaccine supply is relatively difficult," said Dr. Tran Xuan Hung, Deputy Director of Lao Cai Center for Disease Control.
With the motto "Prevention is better than cure", the health sector is continuing to make efforts to propagate and mobilize parents to fully vaccinate their children; striving to achieve the rate of children of the right age to be vaccinated with the right dose and full dose of 95% or more this year, contributing to improving the quality of care, protection of children's health and immunity in the community.
