Not only in the lowlands, but also in the highlands such as Tram Tau, Mu Cang Chai, Pung Luong, Tu Le, Bat Xat, Khanh Yen, Nghia Do, etc., people are urgently entering the new planting season. The terraced rice fields are being plowed, embankments are being built, and water is being retained for sowing and planting.

According to the 2025 crop production plan, the entire province aims to plant over 45,500 hectares of rice. The crop varieties will be arranged towards commercial production with linked consumption; prioritizing short-day, high-yield, high-quality varieties with resistance to pests, diseases, and adverse weather conditions such as: Dai Thom 8, VNR20, TH8, BT7, BC15...
To ensure a successful harvest, right from the beginning of the season, the Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinated with local authorities to develop production plans that were appropriate to the actual conditions, ensuring that planting was done within the correct timeframe.
The directives from the relevant departments were quickly implemented by local authorities, creating a sense of urgency in production throughout the province.

A new production mindset is gradually taking shape in many localities throughout the province. People are increasingly confidently adopting organic production models, following VietGAP standards, using organic fertilizers; implementing the "3 reductions - 3 increases" model, and the improved SRI rice intensive farming model... These changes not only contribute to increased productivity but also enhance the value of agricultural products, moving towards safe and sustainable agriculture.
However, alongside the positive signs, agricultural production in many localities still faces numerous challenges. Unpredictable weather patterns, the risk of floods, and potential pest outbreaks are also major risk factors for the summer-autumn crop season.
In response to this situation, the provincial agricultural sector has proactively coordinated with local authorities to implement a series of comprehensive solutions.

Inspection and operation of irrigation works were carried out early; many canals and ditches have been dredged and repaired, ensuring sufficient water for irrigation in production under unfavorable weather conditions.
In addition, professional staff closely monitor the situation at the grassroots level, guiding farmers to produce crops according to the correct seasonal schedule and implementing measures to care for crops and control pests and diseases.
Using appropriate rice varieties, employing rational intensive farming techniques, balanced fertilization, and improved field management helps to minimize risks and increase crop yields.
With decisive guidance from specialized agencies, close support from local authorities, and the proactive and innovative spirit of the people in their thinking and actions, we are confident that the 2025 crop season will be a success.
