People's Artist Bui Cong Duy and Dao To Loan participate in the "Happy Concert" to welcome the New Year.

(Dan Tri) - The "Happy Concert" program to welcome the New Year has the participation of People's Artist Bui Cong Duy, Dao To Loan and many world famous artists.

On the evening of December 29, the New Year's program Happiness Concert will take place at Ho Guom Theater ( Hanoi ). The program will have the participation of People's Artist Bui Cong Duy (artistic director) along with world-famous artists and the Youth Symphony Orchestra, Vietnam National Academy of Music.

This is the first program in a series of concerts scheduled to be held annually on the occasion of New Year's Day.

Sharing with the press, People's Artist Bui Cong Duy - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music - said that the Happy Concert will have the participation of 120 artists from the Youth Symphony Orchestra, Vietnam National Academy of Music, under the command of conductor Tran Nhat Minh.

Many world-famous artists participated in the program such as: Claudia Potemkina - soprano of the Belarusian Opera House, tenor artist from Italy Manuel Amati and Vietnam's leading opera singer - Dao To Loan.

The program will bring to the audience 20 classic songs taken from historical films around the world, famous arias (songs taken from musicals, associated with specific characters) in operas, musicals or Christmas and New Year songs...

One example is La Danza - one of the outstanding works in the Les soirées musicales collection by composer Gioachino Rossini.

Written in the style of a tarantella, a lively folk dance from southern Italy, this piece is energetic, joyful and captivating from the very first notes.

Besides, the program also has sweet and romantic melodies such as: Musica Proibita (Stanislao Gastaldon), Meine Lippen, sie küssen so heiß from the opera Giuditta (Franz Lehar), Radetzky March (Johann Strauss I)...

During the program, the audience will be immersed in the space of classic film music works.

It's He's a Pirate - the energetic and vibrant theme song from the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean , and Music of the Night - one of the standout and enchanting pieces of music from Andrew Lloyd Webber's legendary musical The Phantom of the Opera .

The concert also featured the soundtrack to the documentary Vietnam , written by Gara Garayev - one of the most prominent representatives of Azerbaijan, who was a student of composer D.Shostakovich.
