On May 26 and 27, the 3rd Singing Contest for People with Disabilities in 2025 in the southern region, with the theme 'Singing from the heart', took place in Ho Chi Minh City. Taking on the role of judge, Meritorious Artist Le Tu used his own money to give to the contestants who performed his favorite songs.

Meritorious Artist Le Tu was moved and appreciated each performance.

The Vietnam Association for the Protection of Disabled and Orphans presides over and coordinates with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and a number of relevant agencies to organize the 3rd Singing Contest for Disabled People in 2025, southern region with the theme Singing from the heart. Participate   The jury includes: Mr. Nguyen Trong Dam - Chairman of the Association for the Support of the Disabled and Orphans of Vietnam, Head of the Organizing Committee and Head of the Jury; Meritorious Artist Quynh Lien - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association and Meritorious Artist Le Tu.

"I have been a judge for many programs and competitions, from professional to amateur, but this competition is really special because it is for people with disabilities. I really appreciate the love of art of those who are physically disadvantaged but have a strong will to live. I am called a judge, but I came here to witness and listen to the hearts passionate about art sing and show their talents. Accompanying you in this competition, I am more aware of my responsibility, to be truly fair, objective and respect each performance."

In particular, the male artist also decided to spend his own money to donate to 4 performances that he loved and wanted to encourage the contestants. They were the dance performances Chieu len ban thuong, Khat vong sinh ton, Huong sac and the vọng cổ performance Bien chieu.

Souls who love art overcome fate

The southern regional competition, hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Orphans, saw the participation of more than 100 non-professional actors with 21 performances from 7 groups from Binh Phuoc , Binh Thuan, Ca Mau, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Khanh Hoa and Soc Trang. Each team brought carefully prepared, emotional performances, demonstrating the spirit of overcoming difficulties and a strong love for art.

This is an opportunity for people with disabilities in provinces and cities to learn, exchange, demonstrate their abilities in cultural and artistic activities, affirm their own values ​​and integrate more and more deeply into all areas of life. The teams bring performances with diverse forms from solo, duet, group singing, solo, ensemble, dance and especially sign language dance, expressing love for the homeland, national solidarity, solidarity between the army and the people and introducing cultural values ​​typical of regions across the country, praising typical examples of overcoming fate...

In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City group stood out with the art program Living like flowers including the performances Song of hope, Country full of joy, Living like flowers, bringing a unique, professional and emotional performance atmosphere.

The Tay Ninh delegation conveyed their national pride and love for the country through the Fatherland calling their name, Southern sunshine and wind , and the solo performance of the Lien Nam zither. The Khanh Hoa delegation performed the dance Afternoon to the Upper Village , the duet Trai Tim Be Bong , and the choir Trai Tim Nhan Ai with messages full of humanity. The Ca Mau delegation moved the audience with the soulful melodies of Bien Chieu, Tam Su Nguoi Nguoi Nguoi Blind , and the traditional musical instrument ensemble with the Lieu Thuan Nuong - Khoc Hoang Thien - Phong Ba Dinh modes.

Soc Trang group brought 3 emotional performances including "Traces of the round feet on the sand", "Night of Ganh Hao listening to Hoai Lang's melody" and "Welcome" ensemble, showing the harmonious combination of deep singing and instrumental performance techniques. Binh Phuoc group performed the song "Thung diu em chua biet" , the saxophone solo "Que huong" and the dance "Huong sac" , bringing a diverse and colorful artistic space. Binh Thuan group impressed with the dance "Khat vong sinh ton" , the ensemble " Ve day em" and the solo "Pô Sah Inư" .

As a result, the organizing committee awarded the first prize to the Ho Chi Minh City delegation, the second prize to the Binh Thuan delegation and the third prize to the Soc Trang delegation. In addition, the organizing committee awarded 5 gold prizes to the performances: Song of Hope (Ho Chi Minh City delegation), Living like flowers (Ho Chi Minh City delegation), Legendary Po Sha Inư (Binh Thuan delegation), Welcome (Soc Trang delegation) and The Fatherland Calls My Name (Tay Ninh delegation) along with many performances that won silver prizes and consolation prizes... The organizing committee also selected the 3 best performances, representing the southern region to attend the 3rd National Singing Festival for People with Disabilities, scheduled to be held in June 2025 in Hanoi.
