Expressing his pleasure to receive the US House of Representatives delegation visiting and working in Vietnam in the context of the two countries' relations developing well in many fields, with the 10-year milestone of establishing the Comprehensive Partnership, Head of the Central Economic Commission Tran Tuan Anh highly appreciated the developments in the two countries' relations, promoted on the basis of respecting the independence, sovereignty , territorial integrity and political institutions of each country, bringing practical benefits and in line with the aspirations of the people of the two countries.

The Head of the Central Economic Commission affirmed that Vietnam always considers the United States one of its leading important partners; highly appreciates the close cooperation and coordination between the two sides in regional and international forums, as well as in issues of mutual concern. The Vietnam-US economic cooperation has grown increasingly strong, becoming an important pillar of the bilateral relationship. The United States is currently Vietnam's largest export market; Vietnam is the 7th largest trade partner of the United States and the largest partner in the ASEAN region.
Head of the Central Economic Commission Tran Tuan Anh hopes that through the visit and working session in Vietnam of the US Congressional Delegation, the two sides will further promote comprehensive cooperation in politics, diplomacy, economics, trade, investment, science and technology, especially in a number of areas such as supply chain assurance, logistics infrastructure, digital economy, green transformation, healthcare, sustainable agriculture, energy transition and environmental protection.

The Head of the Central Economic Commission also expressed his belief that the Vietnam-US partnership will continue to develop strongly, reaching new heights, for the benefit of the two peoples, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the Asia-India-Pacific region and the world.
Mr. Jason Smith and members of the delegation thanked Head of the Central Economic Commission Tran Tuan Anh for his reception; highly appreciated the remarkable developments in the bilateral relationship in recent times and believed that the bilateral relationship will continue to develop even more strongly. Mr. Jason Smith affirmed that the United States desires and supports a "strong, independent, self-reliant, and prosperous" Vietnam.
The United States will continue to promote comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, especially in important areas such as trade, investment, science, technology, digital transformation, green transformation, and training of high-quality human resources, serving Vietnam's development goals.
