On the morning of April 17, VietNamNet's source confirmed that NTYN (born in 2007, student of class 10A15, Vinh University High School for the Gifted) died on the evening of April 15.
"N. is the eldest of three children. On the day of the incident, her parents were away from home because N.'s mother took a relative to Hanoi for a medical examination, and her father was working far away."
The source added that N. was a good student in class. Recently, for some reasons, N.'s parents intended to transfer their child to another school.

On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Hong Soa, Head of Student Political Affairs Department (Vinh University High School for the Gifted), said: "Vinh University is very shocked and saddened by the death of a student studying at the school. The school is working with the homeroom teacher and students in the class."
Previously, information spread on social networks that female student N. committed suicide due to being beaten, abused and psychologically overwhelmed, along with a clip of students fighting.
The incident originated from an account claiming to be N.'s relative who shared: "The family lost a child, we lost a grandchild. How much we regret the effort of raising and caring for them. How much we regret that a strong, obedient child... was ultimately hurt by society and precisely by school violence. The family itself takes responsibility for not realizing that their child/grandchild was in such a serious situation."
The person who posted the article said that female student N. was a good student but suddenly dropped out of school, telling her mother "I'm afraid to go to school, afraid to go to school". When the mother found out, she found out that her child was a victim of school violence.

Regarding this issue, Mr. Soa informed: "This morning, a clip of students fighting was spread on social networks. We invited the homeroom teacher and 5 representative students of class 10A15 to work. Initially, it was determined that the incident did not happen on the campus of Vinh University.
Second, the student who was beaten is not a student of the school. The students appearing in the clip are also not students of class 10A15 or Vinh University High School for the Gifted.
