This morning (November 15), TT- Hue province continued to have very heavy rain with rainfall from 60-100 mm, in some places over 150 mm.
According to the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control of Thua Thien Hue Province, it is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, floods on rivers will recede slowly. On the Huong River, this morning and noon, flood levels are still high above alert level 3, exceeding the flood peak in 2022.
Of which, Ta Trach Lake has an inflow of 1,947m3/s (maximum inflow of 4,992m3/s, at 7:00 p.m. on November 14), downstream inflow of 1,930m3/s; Huong Dien Hydropower Lake has an inflow of 2,707m3/s, downstream inflow of 1,519m3/s. Binh Dien Hydropower Lake has a downstream inflow of 1,720m3/s.
Floods from upstream combined with heavy rains downstream caused Hue City and its outlying districts and towns to continue to be deeply submerged.
Along with National Highway 1A, the section through Loc Tri commune, Phu Loc district was flooded 0.3-0.35m, making traffic difficult. Hundreds of provincial roads, inter-village and inter-commune roads in Phu Loc and Phong Dien districts were also cut off by flood water.
To cope with the flood situation, armed forces are being mobilized to the maximum, coordinating with local authorities to urgently help people evacuate to safety.
Also this morning, the police of An Cuu and Vy Da wards (Hue City) used motorboats to rescue a number of emergency cases to the hospital. Among them, there were 2 women in labor and an elderly person who needed emergency care.
