The Board of Directors of Phuoc Tan 1 Secondary School (Phuoc Tan Ward, Dong Nai Province) has notified parents that to ensure safety and have time to clean classrooms, the school will allow nearly 1,500 students in grades 7 and 9 to take the morning off.
Grades 6 and 8 will still have afternoon classes as usual, but the Board of Directors said they will continue to monitor the flood situation to promptly announce early school closures, helping parents and students make their own arrangements. Phuoc Tan 1 Secondary School currently has more than 2,700 students.

On the same morning, many roads along the Buong River in Phuoc Tan Ward (Dong Nai) were still deeply flooded, cutting off traffic. Dozens of houses were deeply flooded, damaging many belongings. Cars and motorbikes had to park on Highway 51 because they could not pass through the deep flooded area.
Ms. Ly Suong (Mieu Quarter, Phuoc Tan Ward) said that last night it rained heavily, causing the Buong River to rise. This year's rainy season has seen flood waters rise many times, so her family has proactively moved their belongings. The rising waters have affected people's travel, especially students and workers.
The day before, heavy rain in Dong Nai caused many residential areas to be flooded in An Vien and Binh An communes (Dong Nai), traffic was cut off, and students could not go to school.
