"Big guy" Supe Lam Thao launches 3 new fertilizer groups, helping the soil become healthier, less fertilizer but plants still grow quickly

This morning, January 10, the "big guy" in the Northern fertilizer industry - Lam Thao Superphosphate and Chemical Joint Stock Company held a launching ceremony for 3 new fertilizer products: Neutral Superphosphate, NPK-S using 100% Potassium Sulphate, and specialized NPK-S.

In order to continuously promote the achievements in developing new fertilizer products suitable for modern agriculture , environmentally friendly and meeting the needs of consumers, Lam Thao Super Phosphate and Chemical Joint Stock Company has continued to successfully research 3 new groups of fertilizers, including neutral super phosphate, NPK-S and microbial NPK-S using 100% Potassium Sulphate, NPK-S specialized for crops.

This is the 5th consecutive year that Supe Lam Thao has launched new fertilizer products to serve market needs, especially the need to shift the agricultural structure towards sustainability and green growth.

Speaking at the launch ceremony of new fertilizer products held in Phu Tho this morning, Mr. Pham Thanh Tung, General Director of Lam Thao Super Phosphate and Chemical Joint Stock Company said: "We are facing an important turning point in the fertilizer industry, when the market increasingly demands products that not only meet the nutritional needs of crops but also ensure sustainability, protect the environment and improve soil health. Therefore, Lam Thao Super Phosphate aims to continuously research and launch new fertilizer products to meet the increasingly high demands of modern agriculture."

And today, we are honored to introduce to you new fertilizer products, the result of our long-term research, testing and development process," Mr. Tung added.

Specifically, Mr. Pham Thanh Tung said, the first group is Lam Thao neutral superphosphate, including Lam Thao *M1 superphosphate (neutral phosphate) and Lam Thao P18 superphosphate supplemented with microorganisms (microbial neutral phosphate). Accordingly, Lam Thao *M1 superphosphate (neutral phosphate) is derived from traditional superphosphate products, researched, and applied with new technology to develop into Lam Thao *M1 superphosphate products, with a high effective P ₂ O ₅ content ≥ 18%.

According to General Director of Supe Lam Thao, the outstanding advantage of this group of fertilizers is that when using fertilizers with neutral environment, it will help improve the health of soil and plants, stimulate root growth, promote flowering and fruiting, increase resistance to adverse weather, suitable for many lands, especially the Central Highlands. This product is very suitable for crops with high economic value such as: coffee, pepper, macadamia, cashew, durian, orange, grapefruit, longan, lychee...

Lam Thao microbiologically supplemented P18 superphosphate (microbiologically supplemented neutral phosphate) is researched and developed from neutral phosphate with highly effective P ₂ O ₅ ≥ 18% combined with beneficial Bacillus microorganisms. In addition to the advantages of neutral phosphate products, this product also has the effect of improving soil, improving beneficial microorganisms for the soil, reducing the amount of fertilizer by 10-15%.

The second group is NPK-S and microbial NPK-S fertilizers with potassium nutrient content starting from 100% potassium sulfate. This is a group of high-grade fertilizer products, providing _K2O nutrition. effective and sulfur in the form of (SO ₄ ^2- ) is especially suitable for fruit trees.

With 100% potassium sulfate fertilizer, plants will flower early, promote fruit ripening quickly, increase natural sweetness, enhance characteristic flavor, help fruit have smooth skin, more beautiful color, fruit is not dry and hard (for citrus trees), and flesh is not hard (for durian).

The third group is specialized fertilizers for crops such as tea, coffee, pepper, and tobacco. "We have conducted in-depth research on each crop and each soil area to come up with the most suitable fertilizer formula and fertilization method, to help plants receive adequate and balanced nutrition, thereby helping plants grow strongly and achieve high productivity and good quality, while reducing the amount of fertilizer used, protecting soil health and reducing production costs for farmers," said Mr. Tung.

At the launching ceremony of new fertilizer products, Mr. Pham Thanh Tung said that in the coming time, Supe Lam Thao will continue to research and launch fertilizer products suitable for the trend of green - clean - environmental protection production. At the same time, continue to organize many conferences to transfer scientific and technical advances and build models of "Green farming - improving soil health, reducing emissions, adapting to climate change", accompanying the sustainable development of Vietnam's agriculture and forestry.

"We believe that our constant innovation and creativity will not only help farmers improve productivity and product quality but also contribute to protecting the living environment for future generations," Mr. Tung affirmed.

Speaking at the launch ceremony of the new fertilizer, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Chemical Group, said that the launch of new fertilizer products by Supe Lam Thao demonstrated the company's persistent efforts and determination to serve green agriculture and sustainable development.

Supe Lam Thao is also the unit with the highest revenue of the Group with the figure of 3,580 billion VND, profit of 215 billion VND, a record high in recent years, contributing to the overall profit of the whole Group (revenue of 57,909 billion VND, up 3% compared to the plan and up 1% compared to 2023. The whole Group's profit reached 2,872 billion VND, completing 118% of the plan).

Mr. Tu also assessed that Supe Lam Thao is a pioneer and key unit of the Group, closely associated with farmers, not only selling and consuming fertilizer products but also accompanying farmers in the production process, thereby helping farmers improve the efficiency of fertilizer use, improve productivity and quality of crops. This contributes to the strong growth of the crop industry, helping many products such as coffee, rice, vegetables and fruits achieve record high export turnover.

Also at the launch ceremony of the new fertilizer, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, assessed that the continuous research and launch of new fertilizer products showed the unceasing efforts of Supe Lam Thao. This has contributed positively to the fertilizer production and business industry in general and to the economy and society in the province in particular.
