During the visit and work in China, on the afternoon of March 12, the working delegation of Khanh Hoa province led by Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council visited and paid a courtesy visit to the Consulate General of Vietnam in Shanghai, China. At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen The Tung welcomed the delegation, briefly introduced the activities of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Shanghai; at the same time, informed about some aspects of the socio -economic situation of Shanghai in particular, as well as the socio-economic situation of China in recent times...

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan expressed his honor and pleasure to visit and work with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Shanghai. He also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Nguyen The Tung and the staff of the Consulate General for taking the time to receive the delegation, especially for their sincere and enthusiastic support for Khanh Hoa province in arranging the working program and activities of the provincial delegation in China, as well as supporting the connection between Khanh Hoa province and the government of Zhejiang province, China.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan said that the delegation of Khanh Hoa province to China this time aims to organize activities to introduce and promote the image, new and unique tourism products and tourism development policies of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to management agencies, tourism associations and tourism enterprises of China; associated with surveying, researching and learning some models of night tourism product development of China to serve the implementation of the Project on nighttime economic development in Khanh Hoa province until 2030. In addition, the delegation will visit and work with the leaders of Zhejiang province to promote cooperation, tourism development, trade and people-to-people exchange between the two localities; at the same time, combine to organize a tourism promotion conference in China to create favorable conditions for attracting a large number of visitors from China to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa in 2024 and the following years.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan introduced the potential and strengths of Khanh Hoa province. He emphasized that Khanh Hoa has very favorable conditions for developing the marine economy, especially in the fields of tourism - services, aquaculture, shipbuilding industry and forming international seaports. In particular, in 2022, the Politburo issued a separate resolution on the construction and development of Khanh Hoa province (the whole country has only 9 provinces with separate resolutions issued by the Politburo) with the orientation of developing Khanh Hoa province to become a centrally-run city by 2030. After that, the Government also issued an Action Program, the National Assembly issued a Resolution to pilot a number of specific mechanisms and policies to develop Khanh Hoa province. These are important legal bases for Khanh Hoa to maximize its potential, strengths, and make breakthroughs in the coming time. With the inherent advantages and potentials of Khanh Hoa, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan hopes that in the coming time, Mr. Nguyen The Tung and the staff of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Shanghai will pay attention to and support the promotion and connection of cooperation between Khanh Hoa province and Chinese localities in the field of tourism, expanding and exploiting more effectively the market of Chinese tourists to Vietnam and Khanh Hoa province by air; support the introduction and promotion of the potentials and strengths of Khanh Hoa province and connect individuals, organizations and businesses of Khanh Hoa to meet and work with Chinese partners to promote investment and trade activities in the coming time; connect for the province to access and learn from the development experiences of Chinese localities in areas such as education and training, transportation, industrial development... as well as cultural exchange activities of the two countries.
