(Chinhphu.vn) - On the morning of March 28, the People's Council of Dong Thap province held the 13th extraordinary meeting to elect Mr. Tran Tri Quang, acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and passed 15 resolutions.

Accordingly, delegates of the People's Council of Dong Thap province elected Mr. Tran Tri Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term; elected Mr. Le Chi Thien, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, to hold the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

In his new position, Mr. Tran Tri Quang thanked the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the delegates of the Provincial People's Council for their trust and election; at the same time, he pledged that, in his role as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, he would make every effort, unite with the collective leadership of the Provincial People's Committee to well implement the resolutions and conclusions of the Provincial Party Committee and the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council to further develop the province.

Mr. Tran Tri Quang hopes to continue receiving support and supervision from the Provincial People's Council delegates, all levels and sectors, together overcoming all difficulties and challenges, aiming at the goal of socio -economic development, improving people's lives, bringing his homeland Dong Thap - Land of Pink Lotus to increasingly steady progress.

In addition, the Session dismissed Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Sa Dec City Party Committee, from the position of Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term due to his new assignment. At the same time, Mr. Phan Huu Phuoc, former Director of the Department of Home Affairs, was dismissed from the position of member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term due to his retirement; Mr. Ho Thanh Phuong, former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment ... Pham Viet Cong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, former Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, was dismissed to take on a new assignment; Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Dao, Secretary of the Cao Lanh District Party Committee, former Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, was dismissed to take on a new assignment; Mr. Le Hoang Bao, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission, former Director of the Department of Transport, was dismissed to take on a new assignment.

Also at this session, the People's Council of Dong Thap province reviewed, discussed and voted to approve 15 resolutions, including a resolution on supplementing, assigning and adjusting the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 from the state budget managed and allocated by the province (phase 13). According to this Resolution, the additional capital allocated is 36.71 billion VND (increasing the total medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 from 31,468 billion VND to 31,505 billion VND); assigning details of the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 from the state budget managed by the province and allocated to eligible projects according to regulations, with a total capital of 387,201 billion VND.

In addition, the People's Council of Dong Thap province also passed a Resolution approving the plan to allocate and assign the central budget and local budget in 2025 to implement the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in the province; a Resolution on supplementing the list of projects requiring land acquisition in 2025 in Dong Thap province; a Resolution approving the list of land plots for bidding for investment projects using land in the province; a Resolution promulgating Regulations on the content and expenditure levels for organizing exams, competitions, and contests applicable to general education in Dong Thap province; a Resolution stipulating the support mechanism for implementing social housing construction investment projects in Dong Thap province, etc.
