Large-scale investment promotion forum on aviation
The seminar is an important forum for management agencies, airlines and businesses of the two countries to exchange and seek cooperation opportunities. This is also an opportunity for the United States to introduce its experience and advanced technology in design, operation, safety and digitalization; supporting Vietnam in realizing its goal of becoming a leading aviation hub in the region.
Mr. Steven Green, Commercial Counselor of the US Embassy in Vietnam, emphasized that enhancing air connectivity not only promotes trade and investment but also contributes to innovation, improves safety, security and connects the people of the two countries.
Vietnam’s aviation market is currently among the fastest growing in Southeast Asia, with passenger traffic expected to increase by 8% annually until 2030. The master plan for 2030 targets 30 airports and 33 airports by 2050, based on advanced technology and public-private partnerships.
Many opportunities for bilateral cooperation
In the aviation sector, Vietnam and the United States have made strong progress. Many Vietnamese airlines have signed major agreements with US partners in many areas, from opening direct flights, sharing runways, transporting goods to aircraft technical services, technological cooperation and training high-quality human resources.

Speaking at the meeting, US Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Courtney Beale affirmed: "Strengthening aviation partnerships not only promotes economic cooperation but also drives innovation, raises safety and security standards, and deepens the people-to-people connections that define the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership."
The Deputy Ambassador particularly appreciated T&T Group, affirming that T&T Group "is a typical example of the transformational leading role of the private economic sector". Notably, the Group is currently actively building a comprehensive aviation ecosystem, complete with airlines, airports, and airport-urban complexes integrating modern aviation infrastructure in the future.

On the business side, Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietravel Airlines emphasized: "For T&T Group, cooperation with US partners has always been identified as one of the long-term development strategies of the Group. Particularly in the aviation sector, we and Vietravel Airlines are pursuing an integrated aviation group model, focusing on technology, international management and customer experience. We believe that, with the companionship of leading partners from the United States, Vietravel Airlines will not only develop sustainably in Vietnam, but also contribute to making Vietnam an attractive destination, strongly connected with the region and the world" .
T&T Group's integrated aviation vision
Not only organizing seminars, T&T Group has shaped the strategy of building an integrated aviation group , a successful model in many countries such as Singapore Airlines Group, Lufthansa Group, Qatar Airways or Emirates.
T&T also plans to develop an aviation industry – logistics – trade – airport urban complex of about 10,800 hectares in Quang Tri – the first model in Vietnam.
Quang Tri Airport is a key project with an investment capital of more than VND 5,800 billion, starting construction in July 2024. When phase 1 is completed (expected in 2026), the airport will meet 4C standards, be able to operate Code E aircraft, serve 5 million passengers and 25,500 tons of cargo/year. Quang Tri province is proposing to upgrade to 4E to receive wide-body aircraft such as Boeing 777, Airbus A350.
In the sky, T&T is a strategic shareholder of Vietravel Airlines , aiming to own 30-50 aircraft by 2030, with a flight network covering Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia and the Middle East.
At the same time, T&T Group is actively expanding international cooperation. In February 2025, T&T worked with Boeing to become a strategic partner in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Previously, in 2021, T&T signed many agreements with US businesses in the fields of renewable energy, agricultural products, and functional foods.
Currently, T&T also has a direct presence in the US through T&T America with real estate projects in California and large-scale investment expansion plans in Huntington Beach.
Perspective of Quang Tri Airport.
T&T Group’s strategic moves not only contribute to expanding the global value chain and attracting FDI from the US, but also demonstrate the pioneering role of the private sector in developing aviation and national infrastructure. With a long-term vision and national mindset, T&T Group is expected to continue to make an important contribution to the goal of making Vietnam a leading dynamic aviation hub in the region.
