Ukrainian President Zelensky said his family's income dropped sharply in 2022, to nearly $100,000.
In a post on the presidential office website on January 28, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his family's income in 2021, a year before the conflict with Russia, was more than $286,000 (10.8 million hryvnia), down nearly $317,000 from 2020. The 2021 income included the sale of $142,000 in government bonds.
In 2022, Mr. Zelensky's family income continued to fall to about $97,700, as rental income from the real estate he owned fell as the conflict erupted.

It is the first time President Zelensky has publicly disclosed his and his family's income. He has called on Ukrainian officials to disclose their incomes to increase transparency and eliminate corruption, as Kiev tries to meet strict requirements to join the European Union (EU).
A few months earlier, Mr Zelensky said corruption was tantamount to “treason”, while Supreme Court Chief Justice Stanislav Kravchenko declared that “no individual is untouchable” in Ukraine’s fight against corruption.
