Car crashes into truck, three people die

Lam Dong: A 7-seat car collided head-on with a truck on Highway 20, passing through Ninh Gia Commune, Duc Trong District, killing 3 people and injuring 4 others, on the morning of July 8.

At nearly 4:00 a.m., Mr. Le Nhu Anh (28 years old, Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh province) was driving a truck on National Highway 20, from Da Lat city to Di Linh district. When reaching the section through Ninh Gia commune, Duc Trong district, the truck collided with a 7-seat car going in the opposite direction, driven by Mr. Tran Van Quan (42 years old, Phuoc Long district, Binh Phuoc ).

The crash killed three women in the seven-seater car: Tran Thi Cuc Hoa (78 years old), Hoang Thi Tham (56 years old) and Tran Thi Thu Trang (53 years old). The remaining four people were seriously injured and were taken to the emergency room. Both cars were damaged.

The initial cause of the accident was determined by authorities to be that Mr. Tran Van Quan was driving the 7-seat car in the wrong lane.

Lam Dong provincial leaders were present at the scene to direct rescue efforts and support the families of the deceased victims.
