PC Da Nang ensures power supply for 10th grade high school exam in 2025 - 2026 school year

To prioritize the supply of electricity for the 10th grade high school entrance exam in the 2025-2026 school year, Da Nang Power Company Limited (PC Da Nang) has deployed many plans to operate the power system, organize on-call duty, be ready to provide backup power and closely coordinate with the examination councils to serve the power source to ensure the exam goes smoothly.

In the context of the prolonged hot weather in Da Nang city over the past time, the goal of PC Da Nang is to operate the power system to ensure safe, reliable, and stable power supply to all examination sites and related areas. This not only helps ensure that candidates can take the exam in the best conditions but also avoids power outages that affect candidates during the exam.

The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year will take place from May 31 to June 4, 2025, with the participation of more than 13,000 candidates in Da Nang city. The exam will be held at 28 official exam sites, 1 backup exam site, and exam printing and grading sites, spread across the city.

Before the exam began, PC Da Nang assigned relevant technical staff to inspect the entire electrical system and strengthen the inspection of the power grid safety corridors in areas near the exam locations. Transformer stations, power lines, and electrical equipment have been scheduled for maintenance and repair to minimize the risk of incidents. This helps ensure that the power supply to the exam locations is always stable and continuous throughout the exam period.

In addition, the affiliated power companies will proactively work with representatives at the examination sites, especially large examination sites such as Phan Chu Trinh High School and Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (where questions are set, printed, graded, and re-evaluated) to ensure appropriate power supply plans. Each power company will make a record with the examination and grading sites about the grid power supply plan and on-site backup generators, and will arrange staff to be on duty at the generators during the examination. This will help the Company monitor and proactively handle any arising situations in a timely manner.

Along with technical assurance, PC Da Nang commits not to perform any power outages that may disrupt the power supply during this period at the locations of printing, invigilation and grading of exam papers, unless an incident occurs or when requested by competent authorities.

The Company will closely coordinate with Power Transmission Company 2, the Central Power System Control Center and the border areas between PC Da Nang and PC Quang Nam , PC Hue to coordinate to avoid power outages affecting transformer stations and power supply lines to exam locations. At the same time, the Company will also ensure the good operation of 110kV and 220kV transformer stations in the city during the exam period.

PC Da Nang not only provides electricity to the exam sites but also proactively prepares backup plans in case of major incidents. In particular, the Control Department (PC Da Nang) also develops plans for power distribution, arranges work reasonably and flexibly, especially during peak hours of the exam. Operation engineers will monitor and coordinate the power source in the most reasonable way, ensuring adequate power supply, not causing overload to the areas around the exam sites. In addition, the unit also develops plans to transfer power between output lines from different neighboring stations, ensuring uninterrupted supply.

With proactive and scientific measures, the Company has made an important contribution to creating a safe and stable exam environment for students and staff on duty, limiting the impact of hot weather on the health and spirit of candidates during the exam, creating the best conditions for students to complete the exam smoothly.
