Building the school into a prestigious and quality university

At the ceremony, the Thai Nguyen University Council announced the Resolution recognizing Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Dang to continue holding the position of Rector of the University of Science , term 2020 - 2025.

In his speech assigning tasks, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Van Hung, Director of Thai Nguyen University, congratulated the President of the University of Science and expressed his belief that in his new position, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Dang will continue to promote his sense of responsibility, innovation in thinking and management methods to lead the University to sustainable development, continuing to affirm its position in the Vietnamese higher education system.

Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Van Hung also sent congratulations to all staff and lecturers of the school on Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20.

In his acceptance speech, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Dang expressed his deep gratitude for the trust of the leaders of Thai Nguyen University, the Party Committee, the University Council, the Board of Directors and the collective of staff, lecturers and students.

The President of the University of Science also expressed his wish to continue receiving the companionship, sharing and support of all staff, civil servants, lecturers and students to build the University of Science into a prestigious and quality university in the Vietnamese university education system.

On this occasion, the University of Science honored 5 teachers who were recognized by the State Council of Professors as meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor in 2025.

The school has decided to award more scholarships to: the top student (To Lan Huong, 30 points) and 30 top students of all majors; award scholarships to new students under the policy with an entrance score of 27 points or higher, new students who are excellent students at the national or provincial level, with international certificates...

Many accompanying units have awarded scholarships and gifts to support students and promote the activities of the School, including: Hanoi General Clinic; PVI Thai Nguyen Insurance Company; Agribank Thai Nguyen Branch.

Develop training, expand the scale of learners

During the last term, under the leadership of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors, the University of Science has achieved many important achievements. Specifically, the school has reorganized its apparatus in a streamlined and effective manner. The proportion of highly qualified lecturers continues to increase sharply, currently the whole school has 31 Associate Professors, 115 PhDs, reaching a rate of nearly 52%. From 2022 to present, the school has 30 staff meeting the standards of Associate Professors, and in 2025 alone, there will be 5 new Associate Professors.

The school currently offers 6 PhD programs, 10 Master's programs, 25 undergraduate programs and 5 distance learning programs, with a scale of more than 17,000 students, the highest level ever.

Enrollment has grown strongly. In addition, scientific research and technology transfer activities continue to be a bright spot. Each year, the School publishes over 100 articles in the ISI/Scopus category, averaging 0.45 articles/lecturer/year. Many topics at all levels have been effectively implemented, and many products have been granted intellectual property certificates.

The school has established 6 strong research groups and 4 potential research groups, with an initial investment of about 3 billion VND.

In addition, the School has signed cooperation agreements with 18 foreign partners, implemented 09 international projects with a total value of more than 5.5 billion VND, developed a 2 + 2 joint program in Semiconductor Technology, and increased the attraction of international students. Currently, there are over 100 international students studying undergraduate and graduate programs at the School.

In addition, the school also maintains a good system of policies to support learners, organizes periodic dialogues between the Principal and students, promotes cultural, sports, career guidance and business connection activities.

Since 2022, the School has implemented a Digital Transformation Project worth 2.6 billion VND and has so far applied 25 software in management and operations. More than 80% of management activities, from training, testing to administration, are carried out in a digital environment.
