For over 10 years, the "Practice beautiful handwriting" class at Thai Nguyen University of Education has not only been a place for students to practice their skills, but also a journey to preserve and pass on their love for the profession through each generation.

Ten years of cultivating a beautiful tradition.

More than 10 years ago, from a small idea by the Youth Union of Thai Nguyen University of Education, the "Beautiful Handwriting Practice" program was initiated and has been regularly maintained to this day. Accompanying the program from the very beginning is Ms. Linh Phuong – a former student of this very university, and also the founder of Linh Phuong Thai Nguyen Beautiful Handwriting Practice Center.

Having been a student of teacher training herself, Ms. Phuong understands better than anyone the value of each letter to the teaching profession. For the past 10 years, she has been both a mentor and an inspiration to many generations of teacher training students – those who are preparing to embark on the journey of imparting knowledge and nurturing future generations.

Initially, only a few dozen students participated, but now the class has become a tradition, attracting a large number of students from various departments, especially the Department of Primary Education – which trains teachers to teach children to write their first letters. For them, practicing handwriting is not just about learning to write beautifully, but also about cultivating patience and meticulousness – qualities that make up an exemplary teacher.

Classes with Ms. Linh Phuong always leave a special impression. There, students not only learn how to hold a pen and position their hand, but also how to cultivate themselves: from patience and meticulousness to a love for the teaching profession.

The Calligraphy Training Workshop, organized by the Youth Union of Thai Nguyen University of Education in collaboration with Linh Phuong Calligraphy Training Center in Thai Nguyen, has been running for over 10 years. This meaningful activity by the Youth Union aims to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the university's founding and Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th.

The flame continues to burn through generations.

From being a student in her handwriting class years ago, Ms. Hoang Thi Quyet – a teacher at Tan Thanh 2 Primary School (Thai Nguyen) – has returned to her old classroom to guide students. Her neat, graceful handwriting not only delights the students but has also become a "standard" for generations of teachers to emulate. Ms. Quyet is not alone; many other former students have also returned to the school to participate in the handwriting class, continuing the journey that inspired them.

Ms. Hoang Thi Quyet shared: "When I started teaching, I realized even more the value of beautiful handwriting. It not only helps students learn better but also shows respect for the profession. Returning to mentoring students, I feel like I'm reliving the early days of learning to write."

Teacher Hoang Thi Quyet's meticulously written essays are likened to miniature paintings, continuing the flame of beautiful handwriting that generations of Thai Nguyen teacher training students have preserved for over ten years. In each course, the students' beautiful essays are selected by Ms. Linh Phuong and the school and displayed in the handwriting practice room as works of art.

Each stroke of the pen is the result of hours of perseverance, meticulousness, and a love for the teaching profession. From the way to hold the pen and adjust posture to keeping the lines straight, everything is a silent lesson about the attitude and sense of responsibility of a teacher. From teacher Linh Phuong to the young teachers of today, the journey of preserving and inspiring beautiful handwriting continues to be written with love for the profession and the heart of an educator.
