Must ensure Nguyen Trung Truc Festival is solemn, safe and thoughtful

The delegation inspected the venue for the festival's opening ceremony in front of the Memorial Temple for Heroes, Martyrs and Meritorious People of An Giang Province; Nguyen Trung Truc Communal House; Nguyen Trung Truc Monument Park; and the stele marking the site where Hero Nguyen Trung Truc was executed by the French in 1868.

Speaking at the working session with members of the festival organizing committee and the People's Committee of Rach Gia ward, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province Le Trung Ho praised the sense of responsibility and close coordination of departments, branches, members of the festival organizing committee, the Department of Culture and Sports , and the People's Committee of Rach Gia ward in preparing for the traditional festival commemorating the 157th anniversary of the sacrifice of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc.

Comrade Le Trung Ho emphasized that the subcommittees need to continue to carefully review their work, clearly distinguishing the completed and unfinished contents to promptly implement, ensuring the opening festival is solemn, safe, and on schedule.

Comrade Le Trung Ho noted that this is the first festival after the merger of the two provinces of An Giang and Kien Giang (old), with the expanded scale, area and population, it is forecasted that the number of visitors and delegates attending will be very large. Therefore, sectors and localities need to proactively ensure security, order, and traffic regulation, especially in the area of An Hoa bridge under construction to avoid congestion; carefully prepare logistics, accommodation, and reception of delegates, former leaders and guests from other provinces.

The Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee also requested the content subcommittee to review the entire script of the art program for the opening ceremony, the incense offering ceremony and the incense burning ceremony at the site of the stele marking the place where Hero Nguyen Trung Truc was executed by the French in 1868, ensuring solemnity and significance. The logistics subcommittee needs to grasp the number of delegates, complete the reception and ceremony work, and closely coordinate with relevant units to best serve the people and tourists during the three days of the festival.

The inspection team inspected security and order work through the camera surveillance system at Nguyen Trung Truc Communal House.
