Strive to complete social insurance and health insurance targets

On July 10, the Provincial Social Insurance held a conference to review the first 6 months of the year; deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. Attending the conference was comrade Le Hong Minh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

In the past 6 months, the provincial Social Insurance has promoted communication and developed 55 new units, with 207 employees participating in compulsory social insurance; 1,144 people participating in voluntary social insurance; 6,813 people participating in family health insurance. Up to now, the number of people participating in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance in the whole province is 1,288,421 people; of which, 165,773 people participate in social insurance, equal to 21.7% of the labor force; 1,247,077 people participate in health insurance, the coverage rate is 94.9% of the population; 113,251 people participate in unemployment insurance, equal to 14.8% of the labor force. Revenue reached over 1,280 billion VND, reaching 48.3%, exceeding the plan assigned by Vietnam Social Insurance.

The settlement of social insurance and unemployment insurance regimes has been paid attention to, ensuring timeliness, correct subjects, and compliance with regulations. Social insurance regimes have been settled for 10,886 people; monthly pensions and social insurance benefits have been paid to nearly 33,000 people. Health insurance examination and treatment costs have been assessed for 556,050 people, with a total cost of over VND500 billion. In addition, the provincial Social Insurance has conducted inspections and audits at 46 units, collecting VND126.2 million in social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance contributions.

By the end of 2024, the number of people participating in social insurance will reach 18.8% of the working-age workforce; the health insurance coverage rate will reach 96.1% of the population in the area participating in health insurance. The social insurance sector will actively advise leaders, Party committees and local authorities to continue to effectively implement Resolution No. 125/NQ-CP of the Government on implementing social insurance policies. Innovate the content, form and methods of communication in a diverse and flexible manner suitable to local customs and practices. Resolve and pay social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance benefits to participants in a timely and complete manner; coordinate with the health sector to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment to ensure the rights of people with health insurance cards. Strengthen the inspection and examination of labor-using units, health insurance examination and treatment facilities, etc.
