The Management Board of Van Phong Economic Zone ( Khanh Hoa province) has just answered reporters of the Finance - Investment Newspaper about the difficulties in attracting investment in Van Phong Economic Zone.

Accordingly, most investment projects in Van Phong Economic Zone are stuck in site clearance, leading to slow progress in implementing key projects in this economic zone.

In addition, specialized planning has not been synchronized and land use indicators for industrial parks and urban areas are still limited, not meeting the needs of attracting investors to economic zones, especially projects in the list of priority industries to attract investment according to Resolution No. 55/2022/QH15 dated June 16, 2022 have not had a basis to attract investment.

Van Phong Economic Zone has a favorable geographical location, converging many factors for multi-industry and multi-field development, with an average depth of 20 to 27 m, sheltered from the wind, not subject to sedimentation, close to international shipping routes, and an important strategic position in trading goods with countries in the region, so it is favorable for the development of deep-water ports and port logistics services.

In addition, Van Phong Bay has many beautiful beaches, diverse terrain, rich ecosystem; islands and peninsulas have beautiful and attractive landscapes, temperate climate favorable for developing strengths in eco -tourism , high-class resorts, large-scale entertainment, modern international-class urban areas.

Regarding technical infrastructure, expressways passing through Van Phong Economic Zone such as Van Phong - Nha Trang Expressway, Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway create links between economic and political centers, economic zones, key industrial zones, especially the Central Highlands key economic zone with the Van Phong seaport system; key traffic works have been prioritized for capital allocation to be completed and put into use soon.

Infrastructure of industrial parks is focused on attracting investment to create momentum for industrial development in the province, attracting investors to Van Phong Economic Zone.

Regarding mechanisms and policies, in order to create new motivation for the locality to attract maximum resources to serve the socio-economic development of Khanh Hoa province, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW dated January 28, 2022 on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030 and vision to 2045, orienting the development of Van Phong Economic Zone to become the driving force for the development of the province and the South Central region...

Along with that, the National Assembly issued a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Khanh Hoa province in Resolution No. 55/2022/QH15 dated June 16, 2022, including Van Phong Economic Zone.
