Disappointing bikini competition of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 semi-final night

On the evening of December 26, the semi-final round of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 took place with performances by 38 contestants representing provinces and cities across the country.

The bikini show, evening gown show and self-introduction are expected by the audience because these are new changes to this year's competition.

The Miss Universe Vietnam stage was staged and invested in quite elaborately and the catwalk was designed with an open infinity symbol to create a good effect with the contestants' performances.

However, the music , lighting and especially the camera angle in the bikini competition disappointed the audience watching the livestream, many comments expressed outrage because the contestants were "drowned".

The poor lighting made the contestants' faces dark.

Many viewers were upset and left comments on Miss Universe Vietnam's social media. Most viewers said that because the stage lighting was weak, the beauties' faces were dark when they appeared on camera, the stage was long but the contestants' catwalk was short, causing them to stop halfway. Not only that, the camera panned from below, revealing the contestants' flaws, and the music in the bikini catwalk was quite outdated and did not attract attention.

The contestant performed on the catwalk in a bikini in the cold of 14 degrees Celsius. In addition, the camera angle made the contestant look shorter than her actual height, making the audience angry.

Low light and fog made the competition, which was considered the "hottest", seem dull.

In addition, the organizers' choice of an outdoor stage at the foot of Bao Loc Pass unintentionally put the contestants in a difficult position during the bikini performance.

The weather at the stage was quite cold, with temperatures below 14 degrees Celsius and fog, many contestants had to “brace themselves” to catwalk. Some beauties showed confusion when the stage was slippery and too cold.

The semi-final night of Miss Universe 2023 ended with regret from the TV audience and the hope that the organizers would fix it so that the upcoming final night would not have the same "unbelievable" error as the last one.
