Launching the Contest "Women in Leadership - Lighting the Fire of Success" in 2025

The contest with the theme “Women in charge - Lighting the fire of success” tells stories through photos about beautiful examples and images of women in start-ups, economic development and production labor in the community; reflecting realistically and vividly the images of typical women in start-ups, production labor, economic development, innovation, building happy families and sustainable communities.

Participants are cadres, members, women, members of the "Community Media Team" living and studying in Bac Ha district, Sa Pa town and Lao Cai city (units benefiting from the project in the period 2023 - 2026); encourage the participation of women's union members at all levels, youth, students, photographers, female reporters, female journalists, female entrepreneurs working and living in the area, encourage the participation of men who are honorary members of the women's union in Bac Ha district, Sa Pa town and Lao Cai city.

The participating works are single photos or photo series, color or black and white photos, videos , clips recording images of individuals or groups of typical women, exemplary in start-up activities, production labor, economic development, not having won any awards in any previous contest. Specifically, single photos: each photo is a work; photo series: maximum of 5 photos, each photo series is considered a work of 3-5 photos (with captions for each photo).

The time for submitting entries is from May 8, 2025 to May 30, 2025. How to enter the contest: Entries are sent directly or sent in soft copy via email to the district/city women's union where they reside. Units will compile and select the best entries and send them to the Lao Cai Provincial Women's Union (via email address: [email protected]) within the prescribed time.

The contest aims to recognize, honor the values, communicate inspiration and spread the beautiful examples and images of Lao Cai women in business activities, start-ups, labor, production and economic development in the community. Through the contest, it contributes to raising awareness of the role and position of women in socio-economic development, building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; raising awareness of cadres, members, women and people in the project area about the role and importance of women in labor production, economic development and collective economy.
