The Microchip Design Competition is a competition to promote the development of the microchip design field in Vietnam, creating a premise for the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology platform, Edge Computing technology and Artificial Intelligence technology, encouraging and honoring talents in the field of microchip design, promoting the development of the electronics - microchip industry, making Vietnam a microchip design center of the region and the world .
The competition focuses on conceptualizing, designing and implementing microchip products that serve or are related to activities promoting green urban construction.
At the same time, it sets out the design problems of microchips that are encouraged to serve areas that need to use semiconductor microchips to increase the efficiency and value of products and services such as information technology and telecommunications, electronics industry, automobile industry, medical industry, etc., and limit environmental damage.
Contestants include all students at universities, colleges, and academies nationwide who want to design microchips and have ideas, projects, and applied research topics. Contestants can register individually or in teams (up to 05 members).
The preliminary round will take place in March 2025. The participating teams will present their microchip design ideas for one of the application areas. The Organizing Committee and the Jury will select the 25-30 best ideas to participate in the next rounds: Product completion round (from March to April 2025); Professional evaluation round (May 2025); Final round and award ceremony (May 2025).
The competition prizes include 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize and 3 Encouragement Prizes. The top 5 teams will have the opportunity to register for a free Intensive Training Program course by Synopsys at the High-Tech Park Training Center.
