On September 25, the Vietnam Clean Water and Environment Association; the Electronic Magazine of Environment and Life in collaboration with My Dinh 2 Primary School organized the Launching Ceremony of the Painting Contest on Environmental Protection in Schools with the theme "Green School".
Painting competition on protection The school environment with the theme "Green School" was organized to raise awareness and actions of students. students about environmental protection; encourage them to enhance their thinking, practice green skills, green behavior, promote green lifestyle. Through the world of painting and colors, students will inspire and spread beneficial green lifestyles to the community.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, Party Cell Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of the Electronic Magazine Environment and Life, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest said: The Contest is a useful playground, creating inspiration for students to be more aware of environmental protection. Through the contest, the Organizing Committee hopes to create a creative and healthy space, both nurturing children's painting talents and spreading their ideas and thoughts about the environment and environmental protection.
The goal of the contest is to encourage students - the future owners of the country - to think seriously about protecting the environment and also hope that through the messages they convey in their works, it will be widely disseminated to the whole society so that we can join hands to act for the environment.
In particular, to encourage students to participate in the contest, the total prize value of the contest is up to more than 100 million VND, Mr. Toan added.
At the launching ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Thu, Party cell secretary and principal of My Dinh 2 Primary School emphasized that environmental protection is a common responsibility of the whole society, from unions, agencies, social organizations to each individual. In order to raise awareness of environmental protection for students, the future buds of the country, My Dinh 2 Primary School has always paid attention to environmental protection work in schools. The environmental protection painting contest with the theme "Green School" not only raises awareness for students in environmental protection and adaptation to climate change, but is also an opportunity for them to express and share their thoughts, stories, and environmental issues that they care about.
Within the framework of the launching ceremony, the Electronic Magazine of Environment and Life presented 10 gifts, which are 10 bicycles, to disadvantaged students with good academic achievements. These meaningful gifts create more joy and motivation for the students to actively strive to excel in their studies and life, partly sharing the burden of worries in the new school year of their families. These gifts were taken from the Environmental Fund of the Electronic Magazine of Environment and Life and were accompanied by Thuan Thanh Environmental Joint Stock Company.
The contest is accompanied by: Painter Tien Dung; Painter Le Quoc Huy, Head of Research and Collection Department, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and Designer - Miss Ngoc Han, Media Consultant of Vietnam Fine Arts Museum.
The contest is open to children aged 6 to 10 and is free to enter. It is expected to be divided into 3 rounds: Receiving entries, preliminary round and final round. Round 1: Submission period is from October 1, 2024 to December 15, 2024. Round 2: Preliminary round takes place from December 16, 2024 to December 20, 2024. Round 3: Final round takes place from December 23, 2024 to December 27, 2024. In particular, to encourage the spirit of students participating in the contest, the total prize value of the contest is up to over 100 million VND. Specifically: 7 First prizes, each worth 5 million VND; 10 Second prizes, each worth 3 million VND; 15 Third prizes, each worth 2 million VND; 20 Fourth prizes, each worth 1 million VND. In addition, there are 50 Promising prizes, 50 Talent prizes, 50 Passion prizes (each prize receives a Certificate and gifts from the Organizing Committee). The winning works will be awarded by the Organizing Committee, displayed in Hanoi and used for environmental protection propaganda.
