Today, June 14, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the State Steering Committee for important national projects and works, key to the transport sector, chaired the 12th meeting of the Steering Committee. Also attending were Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee. Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien attended at the Quang Tri bridge.

According to the report of the Ministry of Transport , the Steering Committee is currently monitoring and directing 40 projects/92 component projects in 3 areas: road, railway and aviation; the projects pass through the territory of 48 provinces and cities.
To date, the country has completed 674 km of expressways, passing through 15 provinces and cities, bringing the total number of expressways to about 2,000 km.
Completed projects contribute to promoting socio -economic development, creating new development space, new urban, service and industrial areas, increasing land value, reducing logistics costs; enhancing the competitiveness of the economy, businesses and goods, creating jobs and livelihoods for people and businesses, improving people's material and spiritual lives, consolidating and enhancing people's trust and support.
At the 11th meeting on May 8, 2024, the Prime Minister assigned 47 tasks to ministries, branches and localities; to date, units are implementing 36 tasks and have completed 11 tasks.
Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested localities to strictly implement the Prime Minister's direction in Official Dispatch No. 54/CD-TTg dated May 28, 2024; mobilize the entire political system to accelerate the progress and complete the site clearance of key and important national projects. The Ministry of Industry and Trade and EVN need to provide guidance to remove difficulties in relocating technical works intersecting the expressway.
Secretaries, Chairmen of People's Committees of localities, investors and contractors should increase dialogue with people, visit, encourage and mobilize people to support the construction of "3 shifts, 4 shifts"; ensure the legal and legitimate rights and interests of people, ensure that the new housing is better than or equal to the old housing; at the same time, research the appropriate construction time to have the lowest impact on people's lives...
The Prime Minister also requested to strengthen management, inspection, supervision, and improve the quality of construction works, absolutely not allowing negativity, corruption, waste, bid-buying, and collusion... At the same time, communication must be objective, honest, and accurately reflect the situation in project implementation.
The projects must ensure quality, technique, aesthetics, safety, and environmental sanitation; focus on creating environmental landscapes and common spaces for the projects upon completion. Localities must proactively research, propose, and allocate capital to open intersections to connect and exploit the expressways to the maximum efficiency...
The Prime Minister also requested the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Home Affairs to review and launch a 500-day emulation movement to complete 3,000 km of expressway before December 31, 2025.
