Launching a 45-day and night competition to speed up the construction progress of Rach Mieu 2 Bridge

BDK - Today (March 14, 2025), My Thuan Project Management Board (PMU) will organize a launching ceremony for the emulation movement "45 days and nights to speed up the construction progress of the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Investment Project connecting Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)".

The launching took place in an atmosphere of the whole country excitedly looking forward to the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, the reunification of the country and the project entered the climax stage, with the expected milestones: On April 30, 2025, the main cable-stayed bridge of Rach Mieu 2 Bridge will be closed. On June 30, 2025, all 5/5 bridges on the route will be completed (Xoai Hot Bridge, My Tho Bridge, Tam Son Bridge, Ba Lai Bridge, Rach Mieu 2 main bridge and Song Ma Bridge) and the approach road will be basically completed. Strive to complete the entire project by September 2, 2025.

The investment project to build Rach Mieu 2 Bridge connecting Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces currently has a total output value of 2,670.14 billion VND, reaching 80.84%, exceeding the general progress by more than 4% compared to the plan. In particular, the main bridge - Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is exceeding the progress by more than 15%.
