TPO – A female kindergarten teacher in Ha Tinh discovered a rare golden turtle in the school's fairy garden.
On August 19, the Ha Tinh Mobile Forest Ranger and Forest Fire Prevention and Fighting Team coordinated with the People's Committee of Tran Phu Ward (Ha Tinh City, Ha Tinh Province) to receive a rare golden mountain turtle.

Accordingly, this golden mountain turtle was discovered by Ms. Vo Thi Phuong Chinh (Tran Phu Kindergarten, Ha Tinh city) in the fairy garden, in the school yard.
After discovering it, Ms. Chinh contacted local authorities and forest rangers to hand it over and release it back into the wild.

The turtle was handed over to Vu Quang National Park by the authorities after being received.
Currently, the turtle is being cared for by professional staff of Vu Quang National Park, whose health is being monitored before being released back into the wild to serve conservation work.
Golden mountain tortoise has the scientific name Indotestudo elongata, belonging to group IIB of the list of endangered, precious and rare forest plants and animals.
