Driver's body found in car that fell into canal

On December 13, Duc Hoa District Police, Long An Province completed the procedures to hand over the body of the victim who died in the car to the family for burial, and at the same time conducted an investigation into the cause of the accident.

Authorities salvaged the 4-seat car and brought the victim's body to shore.

On the same morning, a resident in Tan Phu commune, Duc Hoa district discovered a red 4-seat car lying upside down in a canal and reported it to the authorities.

Through camera footage in the area, the car had an accident at around 9:15 p.m. on December 12, when it avoided another car and continued moving, then reversed and unfortunately fell into the canal.

Through initial verification, the deceased driver was identified as V. (38 years old, residing in An Ninh Tay commune, Duc Hoa district).

At more than 9 o'clock this morning, Duc Hoa District Police salvaged the 4-seat car and brought the victim's body to shore.
