Attending the congress were Mr. Dong Huy Cuong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations ; and Ms. Do Thi Kim Dung, Deputy Head of the People's Aid Coordination Board, Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.

The leaders of Ca Mau province attending included: Bui Tan Bay, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Thanh Trieu, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province; and Ngo Vu Thang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Dong Huy Cuong, presented a commemorative flag from the Presidium of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations to the First Congress of the Ca Mau Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, term 2026-2031.

During the past term, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, together with its member friendship associations, organized and coordinated over 40 people-to-people diplomacy activities; and received more than 94 aid grants totaling over 335 billion VND. The aid focused on practical areas such as: building rural transportation bridges, housing for the poor, healthcare, education, environmental protection, and climate change adaptation, contributing to improving people's lives.

Fundraising efforts continued to yield positive results, raising over 60 billion VND from programs, projects, and non-project sources.

Currently, there are more than 40 foreign non-governmental organizations operating in Ca Mau province. During the past term, more than 100 international delegations visited to survey and implement programs and projects.
