Accordingly, Lai Chau develops tourism in the direction of preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups in the area, maximizing existing resources and advantages to develop eco-tourism and cultural tourism; at the same time, focusing on attracting investment, developing diverse and modern tourism products with sufficient conditions to serve large-scale tourism, focusing on developing types of resort tourism, sports tourism and entertainment with rewards, adventure - discovery tourism, spiritual tourism, and community tourism.

Along with promoting the completion of mechanisms, policies and administrative reforms, improving the investment and business environment, creating strong development momentum in areas with potential and advantages of the province such as: tourism, hydropower, endemic agriculture , minerals... In which, focusing on researching and promulgating mechanisms and policies with specific and creative characteristics, increasing the competitive advantage of the locality. Regarding human resource development, attracting and improving the quality of human resources; comprehensively innovating education and training, focusing on supporting and investing in increasing the proportion of high-quality workers in the labor structure; arousing the desire to contribute, rise up, promote the cultural values and people of Lai Chau to awaken the tourism potential. In which, maintain existing provincial cultural and sports institutions. Invest in and upgrade district, commune and village cultural and sports institutions; invest in cultural and sports centers, district-level children's cultural palaces. Prioritize investment in Lai Chau Provincial Sports Complex; upgrade existing stadiums in districts and other cultural and sports institutions in the whole province, combine socialization and link with Lai Chau tourism development.
