Close coordination and cooperation in managing and receiving reserve soldiers
Before "G hour", the QNDB reception area of Brigade 210 was bustling like a festival. Each group of QNDB was handed over by the Phu Binh District Military Command ( Thai Nguyen ) on time, meeting the quota, quickly had their records checked, their lists compared and assigned to training units.
Lieutenant Colonel Duong Van Hung, Deputy Brigade Commander and Chief of Staff of Brigade 210, said: “We determined that in order for the exercise to be successful, the work of receiving QNDB must be done very well. Localities always strictly manage the records, have a firm grasp of the addresses, occupations, and political quality of QNDB, so when there is an order, the mobilization work is quick and effective.”

At the drill, 100% of the QNDB troops were present on time. Many people working hundreds of kilometers away from home also arranged their work to return home and fully participate. The locality's proactiveness in managing "soldiers sent among the people" and the smooth coordination with the receiving unit helped the mobilization work go smoothly. The work of arranging the staff and organization was quick and tight.
QNDB Ha Trong Bach from Thuong Dinh commune, Phu Binh district, Thai Nguyen province, a former 37mm anti-aircraft artillery soldier, shared: “I served in Brigade 210 for nearly ten years. Although I left the army a long time ago, thanks to the local government regularly informing and coordinating with the Brigade, I always clearly understand the requirements and tasks of QNDB. When the order to assemble was given, I arranged my family affairs and immediately set off, arriving on time and at the right place.”
Like Ha Trong Bach, many other QNDB soldiers, although doing different jobs, when ordered, quickly appear to carry out training and drill tasks; always ready in all aspects when a situation arises.
The highlight of this exercise was the locality’s initiative in coordinating with the unit. The local government not only did a good job of informing, checking, and motivating, but also sent officers to directly bring soldiers to the unit, coordinating to resolve any arising situations.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ban, Vice Chairman of Phu Binh District People's Committee said: "We have implemented well the motto "sending soldiers to the people", directing authorities at all levels to pay close attention, grasp the quantity, quality, family circumstances and aspirations of the QNDB; proactively coordinate well with the unit during mobilization periods".
In reality, the coordination between local authorities and receiving units is a key factor in ensuring success in mobilization, training, and military exercises. From making lists, sending call orders, and informing the military in advance to supporting movement and resolving arising situations, all clearly demonstrate the responsibility and solidarity between the locality and receiving units.

Realistic combat training
Immediately after stabilizing the organization, the unit quickly entered into training according to the plan, focusing on training in command, infantry combat techniques, anti-aircraft artillery, and tactical situations close to actual combat. Although many comrades had left the army for a long time, thanks to careful preparation, especially in terms of lesson plans, documents, weapons, equipment, and means, the quality of training was significantly improved.
Major Bui Van Hung, Captain of Company 10, Battalion 4, Brigade 210, shared: “The new point in this exercise is that we have increased situational training, combining traditional air defense operations and modern operations using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The QNDB team approached quickly, demonstrating a serious learning spirit and high determination in carrying out the mission.”
In particular, technical training, tactics, equipment use, and coordinated combat are organized for each combat team and are linked to specific situations. Thereby, improving the ability to coordinate operations, be ready to fight, and fight victoriously in all situations.
Along with that, the unit also organizes many meaningful activities such as: Cultural exchange, traditional talks, sports competitions... contributing to strengthening the bond between QNDB and the permanent staff, at the same time building a regular routine, training working style, and strictly managing discipline.
Assessing the exercise, Major General Hoang Van Nam, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 1, Deputy Head of the Exercise Steering Committee, emphasized: “Brigade 210 organized the exercise methodically, seriously, and in accordance with the set purpose and requirements. The highlight is the effective promotion of the “military sent among the people” force from the preparation stage to the mobilization practice; helping to improve the quality of mobilization reserves, firmly consolidating the national defense of the whole people”.
