Kim Phu commune was established on the basis of merging Thuong Hoa, Trung Hoa, Minh Hoa and Tan Hoa communes, with a natural area of 552.58 km ² . The whole commune has 22 villages, 4 hamlets with 4,049 households, 19,054 people, of which ethnic minorities have 320 households, 1,175 people. Immediately after the merger, the commune quickly assigned specific tasks to each comrade in the Standing Committee, the Party Executive Committee of the commune; carried out ideological work well, creating high consensus and unity among cadres, party members and people.
