On the morning of January 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Veterans Association held a summary of the association's work and the patriotic emulation movement "Exemplary Veterans" in 2023; and deployed tasks for 2024.
At the conference, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Manh Cuong commended the achievements and results achieved by the Ho Chi Minh City Veterans Association in 2023. He suggested that the association continue to promote exemplary veteran movements; continue to effectively implement programs and solutions in participating in building and protecting the Party and government.
Along with that, we proactively help each other reduce poverty, improve living standards, and develop the economy and society. In the immediate future, we will do a good job of taking care of the 2024 Giap Thin Lunar New Year; actively participate in solutions to protect the Party's ideological foundation, and fight against erroneous and hostile views.
The Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission also requested that the Ho Chi Minh City Veterans Association should better and more synchronously carry out propaganda andeducation on revolutionary traditions for the younger generation, especially in conjunction with important anniversaries in 2024 and 2025.
Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Veterans Association Hoang Van Nghia said that in 2024, all levels of the association will continue to focus on disseminating, propagating, and implementing the Party's Resolution, in conjunction with continuing to effectively implement the Resolution of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; taking care to build and consolidate the core political force.
At the same time, proactively fight against corruption and negativity; grasp the situation, promptly advise and propose to the Party Committee and government and promptly and accurately handle situations; thereby, contributing to maintaining political stability and social order and safety in the area.
Along with that, launching the patriotic emulation movement "Exemplary war veterans" in 2024; building effective, practical works, programs, models, and projects, suitable to the association's capabilities, associated with local emulation movements, achieving achievements to celebrate major holidays...
