Promoting the intelligence of European expatriates to develop science and technology

Building a network of Vietnamese talents in Europe, creating a mechanism to support the transfer of cutting-edge technology from the EU to Vietnam, and supporting overseas Vietnamese businesses to bring new technology back to the country for quick and effective implementation, avoiding missing out on global competition opportunities are the proposals of overseas Vietnamese businessmen and intellectuals at a recent conference in Belgium.

Held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-EU diplomatic relations, with the theme "Promoting the resources of the Vietnamese community in Europe to promote Vietnam-EU relations", the conference attracted the participation of more than 500 intellectuals, businessmen, and researchers from 20 European countries.

This is the first time the Vietnamese community in Europe has had the opportunity to meet and have a direct dialogue with many senior leaders from domestic ministries and branches, as well as representatives of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed that with their enthusiasm and intelligence, overseas Vietnamese will contribute to further promoting Vietnam-EU cooperation, while contributing to continuing to write the heroic history of the Vietnamese revolution on the path to bringing the country to breakthrough development in the new era.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Ho Anh Tuan, former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Organizing Committee 248, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for the Development of Business Culture, introduced the Organizing Committee 248, the Vietnam Association for the Development of Business Culture (VNABC) and called on Vietnamese businesses in Europe to respond to the Vietnam Business Culture Day, the Campaign to Build Vietnamese Business Culture and the Vietnam Business Culture Criteria.

Within the framework of the Conference program, Mr. Ho Anh Tuan signed with the Association of Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in Europe (Vybe) on coordinating the implementation of Vietnamese Corporate Culture Day, the Campaign to Build Vietnamese Corporate Culture and the Vietnamese Business Culture Criteria Set.

The conference received more than 20 presentations from scientists, businessmen, and intellectuals of Vietnamese origin living and working in many European countries.

One of the highlights of the conference was the spirit of consensus and dedication to contribution, especially the strong response to Resolution 57 of the Politburo, which clearly defined the goal of attracting global Vietnamese intellectual resources to serve the cause of building a strong nation by 2045.

Mr. Pham Huy Hoang, Chairman of the Vietnam Innovation Network in Europe (VINEU), said that there are currently tens of thousands of Vietnamese experts working at research institutes, universities, and large technology corporations in Europe.

He proposed building mechanisms and policies to create a stable legal corridor so that overseas Vietnamese can confidently contribute, and at the same time establish connecting points so that cooperation projects can be implemented quickly and effectively.
